My team would be:

Stek; Cicinho, Kjaer, Burdisso, Jose Angel; DDR, Gago, Pizarro; Pjanic; Borini, Bojan

Is Lamela ready yet?

I fear Giovinco on the counters. Totti needs to be rested, he cant play 2 games in 3 day span.I hope Lamela is available.And I also hope Bojan is given another chance, he shouldnt be written off this early.

Well considering all our strikers are in horrendous form and our midfield can't control a game I don't see us getting a win. Let;s hope Parma play so awful they gift us some chances.

I think Lamela is still hurt so I wouldn't expect to see him.

I really don't know what to expect of this game. If we see changes I'll be more hopeful. I don't want to see centre forwards playing as wingers any more. Bojan and Borini should be given a chance there, and in the case of Totti being rested, we will probably see Osvaldo in the centre. Why has Caprari been completely forgotten? I thought he did okay in pre-season.

Gago and De Rossi should surely start in midfield. Pjanic has looked lost so far so I'm not sure about him. And no more Perrotta please.

Actually I can describe my expectations with one word - changes. We need them in order to improve. I hope Enrique knows it and shifts things a little.

*players often score against their former clubs!

Osvaldo doesnt work there, this is not typical 4 - 3- 3 with center forward.Osvaldo cannot play creator role, or in midfield.
I would play Pjanic there in totti's role .Deano's formation is better.

Osvaldo would be ok if the formation is built around him as a pure 9, which it can be. Though for that to happen we really will need to sign a proper wide player in the January or next Summer mercato. I think the 4-3-3 we try at the moment is not really effective and Totti has now proven he is not best at the treq. role anymore so we should try Pjanic there.

There has been almost no improvement between the side that was taught football against Valencia, and the side that suffered against Siena. Even with the drastic improvement in quality of players, our attack still seems laboured, possession impotent and defense unprotected.

Makes me wonder what Viviani and company are capable of in a strong system.

A very tough outing.

Parma is very strong at home, one of the hardest to beat actually. They suck away, but at home they play pretty nice.

If we can't beat Parma, usually our easiest opponent in the league, the season will surely be a disaster, that's way it has been since I started following Roma.

Yes , 15 goals :thumbsup: But Totti wont score much in this position LE is playing him.He is always from goal. Its not 4 - 3 - 3 , its 4 - 3 - 1 - 2.With the 2 striker being wide inside the box.
On top, I think he needs to play one game per week at his age.:thumbsup:

I don't think he will be seeing the ball that often. If Roma play like they have been until now, Borini has more chance to receive the ball if he's at the back four or the goalkeeper.

Which brings me to my need to reiterate the fact that a change is absolutely needed. I'm reading we could play Bojan-Osvaldo-Borini and I'm curious to see how this would work out. At least on paper it looks smarter than playing 3 centre forwards.

As long as Osvaldo stays in the box, and does not drift out wide, then yes, looks much better.

I would still like to see Gago start a match. I don't think he is a player who works off the bench. I think that role is better suited to Pizarro - he can come on and change the game if needed.

Man, if Perrotta plays as a right winger again I believe I'm gonna puke, srsly!

I believe Gialloroso's formation is decent, tho I'm unsure about Bojan starting. I think I'd rather start him in the bench and see how things goes with Pjanic, Borini and Osvaldo (I would prefer Borriello) upfront. Then, if it's not working I'd try Bojan.

I will look at these days as they are. Sh!t football, sh!t results. If we win in the future it will not be because De Rossi was a virtual CB. Perrotta was a right wing-back or we were playing 3 box strikers together upfront.
