Villarreal are hardly what youd call a superpower but yeah...playing good football, seems to be enjoying himself, has formed a great partnership with Rossi. The teams climate is working well, hardly wasting time. Sure theres a step up that can be made but playing in one of the strongest leagues for a club thats right place is in the CL...not a bad gig.

Nilmar might as well do better in a bigger club, but he is sometimes not very visible. He isn't as consistent as Forlan was for Villarreal for example. He clearly is talented and you could just see it in him. In fact, he is a much more refined and a better player than Rossi, who is not himself. But still, I wonder if he can up his game a level.

Right now, Nilmar is probably still behind the likes of Llorente, Aguero, Forlan, Villa and Higuain (+Messi, and Ronaldo). He just needs to start doing his thing more consistently.

Good yeah, but he could be doing better. I feel Nilmar's been the one dragging Rossi up for some reason. However, Nilmar's out now so we'll see what's going to happen.

I think Nilmar would suffer should he break his partnership with Rossi, those two together are a deadly force. And playing for a club team 3rd in Spain is hardly wasting away :)
he would not suffer. H ehas played in big clubs... Inter and Corinthians. Plus he i always played ridiculously well for Brazil and he had a spell with Lyon, which he was adapting to Europe.

Villareal is very small for him.

Liverpool should buy him IMO.... would be the perfect partner for Torres.

Banega atm is a friggin sub for Valencia.

I honestly think he can easily make it into the midfield of any team, bar Barcelona.

Disagree. Nilmar and Torres would fail to work together. Honestly think Suarez would be a great partner for Torres, but it won't happen seeing as Pool are offering 15 m euros for Suarez.

no they would not. Nilmar can play center role or play in the wings, like he has done in Corinthians and Inter. He was superb when he was Carlitos´ partner in Corinthians. Plushe has speed, technique, superb dribbling, vision and fighting spirit which would fall like a glove in Anfield.

Villa has the same attributes and Torres has yet to play well with him;)

?? Rossi has had a good season
He did, but Rossi for me is a tad erratic. He sometimes can be wasteful, and just isn't as refined. This is of course a personal opinion. Their statistics are pretty comparable.

I just like Nilmar more, and think he is more refined.

Regarding Rossi though, I am surprised he isn't starting for Italy. It's not like Italy has Del Piero and Vieri on top of his game. They should be banking on Rossi, IMO. Their strikers were poor for some time now.

Hernanes from Lazio would be a starter in most teams team.

My God this guy is brilliant this season , see his performance vs Milan and Inter.
