Burdisso close to Roma deal
Thursday 10 June, 2010
Nicolas Burdisso has “reached an agreement with Roma and I don’t think there will be any problems with Inter,” said his agent.
The Argentine defender has been on loan at the Olimpico this season and is eager to make the move permanent.

“We have reached an agreement with Roma and I don’t think there will be any problems with Inter,” agent Fernando Hidalgo told TeleRadioStereo.

“Next week I will talk with both clubs, so we must still wait a while to make a more concrete analysis of the situation.

“There are no issues with Roma and negotiations are progressing to an advanced stage already.

“We haven’t been able to get down to the details, but I don’t foresee any problems. We have to work more on the Inter front.

“I don’t think the Nerazzurri want to keep Burdisso considering everything they have said in the past.

“We’ll see if their conditions suit Roma for a permanent deal.”

Hidalgo also revealed there has been interest from Manchester City for Burdisso.

“There hasn’t been an official bid, but certainly there is interest. I spoke with Roberto Mancini, who really respects the player.”

Burdisso played regularly for Inter when Mancini was at the helm.

Inter Milan Boss Rafael Benitez Eyeing ÂŁ35 Million Move For Manchester City Star Carlos Tevez - Report
The Spaniard wants the Argentine...

Jun 11, 2010 1:52:00 AM

Inter Milan manager Rafael Benitez set to make ÂŁ35 million bid for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez this summer.

The former Liverpool manager hopes to make the Argentina international his first transfer pick-up at Inter, according to The Sun.

The Spaniard signed a two year contract on Thursday, replacing former Premier League rival Jose Mourinho, who moved to Real Madrid after leading Inter to a historic Treble this season.

Benitez attempted to sign Tevez from Manchester United last summer but was unable to beat out City, who paid ÂŁ25.5 million for the Argentine.

With Inter’s billionaire owner Massimo Moratti behind him now, Benitez is looking to bring Tevez to the San Siro.

Tevez could be keen to move to Champions League winners Inter after City lost out to Tottenham Hotspur in a tight race for fourth place in the Premier League.

Tevez won't happen. It's Abu Dhabi, FFS.

I prefer Silva , I want to see this guy with Inter. Wouldn't mind Tevez either but it might be very hard. Bastos not really as were fully set in the RB and LB position even without Maicon.

A 37-year-old (who's limited in his forward runs these day) and an unproven 19-year-old who's hardly even back from his long-term injury... and NO suitable back-ups?

If we're set there, why is midfield even an issue with its wealth of options?

what do u guys think of van der wiel?

Inter Won't Be Reluctant To Sell Superstars For Right Price - Report
Benitez could sell major stars if the equity is good...

Jun 11, 2010 12:49:00 PM

Inter coach Rafael Benitez will not meddle with want-away players looking to leave the club, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Spanish coach was announced yesterday as the club's gaffer for the next two years and his job is to succeed Jose Mourinho's work. But he will not stand in the way of players who want to leave the club.

Benitez will arrive in Milan on Monday before he is presented on Tuesday, but he has already discussed early strategies for the transfer market.

Unhappy players will be cut off. Massimo Moratti is keen on cashing in on a number of stars who were once not for sale at any price - that maxim no longer applies.

Moratti is thinking the unthinkable and he would have no hang-ups about selling players like Maicon, Mario Balotelli and Diego Milito. The South Americans have been linked with Real Madrid, while Balotelli could move to England.

And, although previous reports claimed Benitez would join on the condition they stayed, Inter would sell for bids ranging between €30 million and €40m.

Inter Keen On Arsenal Defender Bacary Sagna - Report
The French international has attracted the interest of Inter...

French international Bacary Sagna has attracted the interest of Champions League holders Inter with his strong performances for Arsenal in the past couple of seasons, according to a report in Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian champions are in the market for a new right back due to the expected departure of Maicon to Real Madrid and Inter coach Rafa Benitez supposedly sees Sagna as the perfect replacement.

The 27-year-old Sagna joined Arsenal from Auxerre in the summer of 2007 and has since developed into an intergral part of the Gunners' first team. The full-back has so far made 99 Premier League appearances for Arsenal.

Arsenal will not be too eager to part company with Sagna, but Inter are hopeful that an offer in the region of €15-20 million will be enough to convince the English titans to cash in on Sagna this summer.

I am certainly no fan of Kuyt, but I don't think I would mind him as a grinding sub, for the purpose of protecting a lead and giving some rest to Milito or Eto'o. He is quite versatile and runs, which makes him usable for many offensive substitutions. He is somewhat a bit like Eto'o this year. Thinking back at the Barca home game, replace the Milito substitution with Kuyt instead of Balotelli and the last 10 minutes would have been more safe.

This being said, I really don't like him.

Yeah, but there are so many better options out there.

The striker position isn't a problem if we bring in another versatile winger.

Eto'o or Pandev are both hard workers and could always take over from Milito - and better so than Kuyt.

Then there's of course Balotelli. I still have doubts he'll ever truly fit in well at Inter, in any position, given his mentality.

Tevez is the best signing we could make for this team that is a realistic, more then Silva imo, i've been wanting him with us ever since Mourinho came.

Bastos is not, I repeat NOT a leftback, the guy is leaking all over the place, don't know where to stand. as others said, he belongs on the attack and should go no where near the defensive part.

And I agree about Kuyt, alot might laugh at him, but for depth, him comming at the 70 minute orso, or getting a shot at the league or something is always good, I always like hardworking players, and Kuyt is one who leaves it all on the pitch.

If we get Tevez theres no need for him tho, but as an option on the bench he's a blessing to any team in my opinion.

I also don't get the total lack of confidence in Bambino.. I understand Moratti is eager to get another CL, and obviusly if you wana do that the safer bet is taking Sagna when Maicon leaves, but can't help but wonder how are people missing how speciel Davide is and what a player he can become to this club.

Looks like they take him for granted.
