we will win and drogba will score! :groan:

Didier Drogba, Joe Cole and Ricardo Carvalho will all return to the starting line-up against West Ham on Sunday, says manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian is able to welcome his top scorer back after Drogba sat out Wednesday's 2-1 win against Portsmouth, while Cole and Carvalho are back in after being rested in midweek.

'I don't want to change a lot of things about the next game, Carvalho returns to play and I have to take a decision on midfield,' Ancelotti said. 'Mikel or Ballack I want to do recovery and Joe Cole will return to play.

'Drogba is good, he trained yesterday and today is fit and he will be ready for Sunday. Alex didn't train today but will train tomorrow and the other players stay well. For Sunday we also have Sturridge, who is doing a very good job, two fantastic weeks in training, and will be ready to play.'

Missing however is Michael Essien, whose hamstring injury looks likely to rule him out of Chelsea action until as late as the end of January, owing to the African Cup of Nations which begins on January 10, with the Ghanaian likely to be called away by his country before the end of the year.

In other news, Ancelotti dismissed media speculation linking us with Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero.

'It is not true because we don't sign a contract with any players, at this moment we do not think to buy Aguero,' said the 50-year-old.

it will be criminal not to win this and widen the gap, this league is ours unless we throw it, man utd are limping badly...

Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-diamond-2 formation:

1 Petr Cech
2 Branislav Ivanovic
26 John Terry (c)
6 Ricardo Carvalho
3 Ashley Cole
13 Michael Ballack
8 Frank Lampard
15 Florent Malouda
10 Joe Cole
21 Salomon Kalou
11 Didier Drogba.

Substitutes: 40 Hilario, 19 Paulo Ferreira, 33 Alex, 35 Juliano Belletti, 12 John Mikel Obi, 18 Yury Zhirkov, 23 Daniel Sturridge.

Carvalho with his 200th start, Kaloupy with his 100th.

I have never seen anything like that! 3 penalties! And West Ham players encroaching, why the hell does he not punish the west ham players not the pnealty taker?

Can't believe he got 3 out of 3 as well. Weird!

Well, it wasn't a victory, but we are ahead for four points right now (but Arsenal can be second if they win a postponed match).

I really loved to see Sturridge and Zhirkov getting minutes, I think they can be very useful for us.

And this kind of match show why I love the Premier League: exciting until the end. The best league in the world by far.

that was farcical refreeing of the highest order, someone giving limping man utd a helping hand...why wasnt the penalty kick against man city replayed? man city players were in the box too, or was it coz lampard missed? what about the handball in in the first half yesterday, he whacked it with his hand! then the keeper took kalou out with a body check, also not given, then from the freekick kalou wrestled down, not given...at least 2 penalties for chelsea yesterday...and the penalty we got actually was NOT a penalty...

just think if lampard missed on the third retake and ref whistled 1-0 win for westham - thats the kind of justice chelsea are getting, the same one that allows michah richards to set up a goal with his hand...yes we are not playing super but the fine details of ref behaviour are costing us points...kudos to carlo thou for ballsy sturridge sub...

Drummer dont push my patience with ur retarded blind posts...

ya lesson is if it seems ur keeper wont save it just run in numbers inside for a retake lol

Only at West Ham would Frank have to take AND make three PKs. Absurd, but it shows just how mentally strong he is. Boo boys could not shake him.

I hate that Chelsea could not get the three points and be six points clear, but I'll take the four points clear and hope Arsenal can overtake United.
