It appears that De Biasi has rescinded his contract after meeting with Cairo.

Cairo: "De Biasi will not be the Granata technician for the next season"

Channel 4 says an announcement that Novellino is the new coach is only "hours away."

LaStampa: Regarding Novellino, Cairo says, "I still have not chosen anybody, I will only make the decision next week."

Better now than in August.

I'm glad that De Baisi is out. He led us from Serie B, but had no ideas, no game plan really, he wasn't tactical enough for Serie A, which is really what we need in a coach. Novellino would be fine with me now. Maybe he'll actually play two strikers! Fancy that! :wallbang: :D What would really be great is if we made a surprise move for Ranieri, but that won't happen I'm guessing.

What I'm really glad about is that Cairo is getting this done in early June and not three months from now.

Meh. They have alot of names being thrown around. Ranieri, Lippi, etc. Nothing much to make of it. Maybe they are waiting to see if they can get Capello back. :D

Oh dear.

Torino to try for Donadoni?

"There are whispers in Turin that Donadoni, who has been unemployed since Italy's failure at Euro 2008, is in line to take over from De Biasi if things don't improve soon."

Is it already THAT time again???

I haven't been able to see a match this season. What are the sources of our troubles? Is GDB to blame?

I think we should give GDB a bit more time. Draws against Reggina and Chievo are something to be worried about if we are to advance, but the three losses we have faced were certainly expected, if unwelcome. GDB is somewhat to blame in the Lazio game, he made some bad substitutions, but we also got messed about by the ref. Against Inter we played well but I didn't see the Udinese match. Against Reggina we played poorly though. We have a home game against Cagliari after the break. If we can't get anything out of that (plus the derby the week after), then GDB is through in my book.

Donadoni would be a suitable choice IMO. He did well with Livorno and although he struggled with Italy, he gained great amounts of experience in that position and would be a good choice to lead the side.

I agree it...
We need more patiance for GDB. We have 3 importatnt game.. cagliari, juve and atalanta. If we make 7 or 9 point we will be happy and we will plan with GDB...

novellino say no to toro

as toronews reported, cosmi was witnessed
——————————————————————————————

GDB given an ultimatum to win the Derby or else.

http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/oct22h.html

This strikes me as just foolish. If you want to sack him, then sack him. But winning the Derby is hardly realistic right now.

In more important news, the above linked story shows that Donadoni is still in the hunt. He HAS to be the #1 pick. But would he come to us???

NO TO NOVELLINO!!! Cairo is starting to sound too much like Zamparini.

i don't think donadoni is better than novellino or camolese.

In that article holofernes posted Billy Costacurta is also mentioned. Inexperienced at managing, but look at where all these "experienced" managers have gotten us. As for Donadoni, I think he can be better than Novellino or Camolese, he did some good things with Livorno and has definitel learnt alot in his time as Italy manager even if he wasn't that great. Sure Novellino did some good things with Samp too, but they are a bigger club than Livorno. And Camolese is well-liked by Toro fans I believe but just average.

Cosmi would be an interesting signing to the bench, I would perhaps like that.

Regardless, it is a matter of time before GDB is sacked I believe.
