I've heard no news. Why does Brazil want to play us? C'mon were muck.

keep an eye on ticketmaster.ie once the game is confirmed. Despite our shambles of a team Irish people still go on droves to watch ROI, so tickets will be hard enough to come by for Brazil in Corke Park despite the 82,000 capacity.

We'll confirm as soon as bertie is given half the profits.

Republic to play Brazil friendly

Andy Reid should be in the Republic squad to play Brazil
The Republic of Ireland will play Brazil in a friendly at Croke Park on Wednesday 6 February next year.
The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed that the five-times world champions will visit Dublin subject to final agreement on terms with the GAA.

Brazil's last visit to Dublin was in February 2004 when the World Cup holders were held to a scoreless draw.

"We are committed to bringing some of the best teams in the world to Dublin," said FAI chief executive John Delaney.

"We want to give our fans the opportunity to see our side in action against the game's top players.

"Brazil enjoyed their last visit to Dublin and were very keen to visit again," he added.

The Republic have met Brazil on four previous occasions with one victory and one draw over the South Americans, their only win coming in 1987 when Liam Brady scored the winner in a 1-0 win at Lansdowne Road.

Block bookers get first refusal. Then clubs get their allocation, the usual corporate whores get theirs and whats left is sent to ticketmaster.ie about 2 weeks before the game for general sale. Usually none are left for general sale and the ground will be reduced capacity to 76k people. Last time any brazilians (living in Ireland) I know got a great deal of joy by going direct to the brazilian embassy who got tickets allocated to them. To be honest you will get a ticket no problem as the ground is very big.

Argentina are supposed to be coming as well for a friendly.

Oh no!

"....... To be honest you will get a ticket no problem as the ground is very big."

Does not this contradict the previous extract from your post?

Help!

thank you for spotting the flaw in my logic. What I kinda meant to say was that the tickets will probably be all accounted for but in the days preceeding the game there will be many for sale around the pubs and amongst mates etc as people who cant make it sell them etc. This is Ireland, things have a logic that is not often easy to spot! You'll be fine. Would'nt worry about it.

Gonna see if I can make it too? Where u coming from Cerezo?
