I know..:(
Holland and England (assuming they are the ones finishing second in their groups) really got it easy..Of course, Yugoslavia are still far from securing that second spot, so you still might get Slovenia, but hopefull not. :)

Anyway, good luck, of course not too much .. :D

Savicevic vs. Hagi as coaches!

Haven't you got to play with Slovenia at home!??

Can Hungary still finish second in your group? Wouldn't mind getting them in the playoffs again. ;)
They hold some.
They have to beat in Georgia and then beat us on wednesday in Budapest.
If they do not beat in Georgia they have to beat us and Italy abroad!
We need just a draw in Budapest or a victory at home vs. Georgia to qualify.

Too bad....

I'm really sorry I guess we'll just have to kick your arse then. :D

No, seriously, this is pure crap  :(

FIFA

Ah ... absolute bullsh** , but are we too surprised really with such a decision ? It's such a shame , because Serbia and Romania are the only two teams I cheer for in the EC or the WC. Truly a shame.

Drulic, you must be nuts thinking that we are the favourites...we've been playing our worst soccer in DECADES in the last few games. Barely beating Faroe Islands, losing home to Russia, and tying Switzerland at home is not really top of the line soccer.

Well,
we sure don't think we're favorites. You are.
First off, our central defence is crap and old, unless the right people play and that'll never happen. Same with the goalie. On the other hand, we do great on the wings and good in midfield and attack.

Last year we defeated you in a freindly in Bucharest with a team of youngsters. But it was only a freindly... :(

Best of luck and who knows... maybe the losing team will buy a place at the World Cup from a participating team like it happens in the Romanian league! :D

First leg in Belgrade.

50 / 50

I think, if it comes to the YU-ROM clash, then the chances will be 50/50, because both teams are not playing good football now. Their golden aeras are over and Hagi, Savicevic, Raducioiu, Stojkovic, Dumitrescu and Mijatovic are veterans.

Perhaps we should make a deal, to play with the best-of squads of 1990-2000, to see some good kicking.

If you won`t make 2nd, then I wish good luck to Romania !

as i remember yugoslavia's stats, romania is the team yugoslavia had the most beaten... but stats don't tell always the truth !
That's because we've played like more than 40 matches between eachother.
And that's a lot!

I'm think we also won the most matches vs. Yugoslavia! :D

So we're kinda even.
