I'm a Napoli fan myself - but i was just curious as to why you started to follow ac milan and still do? Everyone has their own reasons and i'd just like to hear them

I like a few teams in Italy
Lazio being the favorite and Milan 2nd, Parma and Inter aren't too bad either
The reason why I started to become a fan of Milan is because of my favorite soccer player Savicevic
I always loved watching that guy play and alongside players like Kluivert, Albertini, Costacurta, Maldini, Ba, Weah, etc it was just great
Milan always had a great squad and and I like them for that as well
But like I said before, the main reason is because of the 'Genius' Savicevic

It is the van Basten that makes me support Milan. Seeing him play in the black and red of Milan, seeing Baresi controlling the defence and play the perfect off-side traps... The memories remain.
Of course, who can forget the 4-0 win in Athens against Barcelona. To me, that was an unforgettable nite of football, the greatest nite in Milan's history in the past ten yrs.
Now, there is Sheva to support, so it seems that the gd times are returning.

though im a southerner and hold napoli dear to my heart i fell in love with milan during the early ninties.............it reached a zenith when milan beat barca 4 0 in athens befoe the world cup....i still love marco simnoe and wish that he could play out his career in milan
Most people ask how the heck an American got into Italian soccer at all, let alone has a team they actually go to see once a year!
But I've actually liked the game itself for about 14 years, and slowly found some European stuff on national TV here, back during the WC98 qualifiers. My roomie and I were in France durign WC98 and saw alot on TV....and fell for the Italians! and to think Pagliuca was nearly my choice for a favored player....instead the gods of soccer led me to the God of Soccer, Paolo Maldini, and from there I adopted AC Milan on the spot, no questions asked, no looking back. And now...usually I refer to them as "my Milan..."

Been i milan fan since 1989 i believe or something like that,atleast that was the year when i first got interested in the players and the team.Milan were the best team at that time with guys like Baresi,Gullit,Massaro,Van Basten,Donadoni,Rijkaard etc. so they often got broadcoast on TV and in every occasion when i had the possabilty i watched them,and since then i have been a fan of the club.nowadays we are not on another level then other teams like in 91 when we won the league without losing or in 94 when we crushed barca but our team looks good this year and hopefully we' ll win somthing this season.
Geez this is a good one,probably when i was born in 68,my brothers are Milan fans and Dad was a Inter fan,i love the team,but having said that i enjoy watching the players of varios teams,i think thats what i enjoy the most,the way they express their talent on the field of play,it's a wounderful game,but yes Milan is in my heart.
WC 94, baggio (roberto, that is) was amazing. baggio really caught my eyes. he was the hero of italy, a team dominated by milan players. he led me to the azzuri and azzuri led me to milan. since then milan is the team i love most. second is azzuri. other than that, i don't love other team. not at all. to me, a soccer game sucks if milan/azzuri is not involved in it. even CL is plain and boring without milan

Some Italian cousins of mine came out to the USA in 1981-ish, and they were Milan fans. I was playing (the unholy) youth soccer at the time, so it all seemed to fit. I also liked the red and black colors. I was only 10 or 11 at the time, so that made perfect sense...

I'm a crazy fan of Milan since end of 1980's. In the very beginning, there were not any live broadcasting on TV in China and we could only see some highlighting programme in the end of week. However, seeing those great players such as Dutch-Trio, Baresi, Maldini, Donadoni, Ancelotti, Savicevic & Desailly etc. I can't help with my heart-beating. I was totally intoxicated with their splendid show, that really a "dream team". :strong: :strong: :strong: :excited: :excited: :excited:
From then on, just like a young boy, I deeply "falled into love" with Milan, which to me is just like an incredible gorgeous beauty. Whenever in high or low tide, I always breath with Mialn and I'm sure this feeling will keep unchanged in my whole life!!!
