Im pretty sure Perrotta is suspended for the 1st game. You could put Zambrotta there and move Oddo to RB

I would go with

-------------------buffon
zambrotta-----nesta----cannavaro-----grosso
---------gattuso----pirlo----de rossi
---------di michele-----------di natale/del piero
--------------------toni

Donadoni will probably play

-------------------buffon
zambrotta-----nesta----cannavaro-----grosso
--camoranesi--gattuso--pirlo----de rossi
----------------toni---inzaghi

I am so shocked to read this coming from you of all people. ;)

I'd take Di Michele over Del Piero any day of the week.

Still can't understand why Panucci doesn't get called.
I am content with Oddo and Zambrotta.

Good point Marlo....I don't know whether that would be a good option, but maybe you are right..my altnerative is putting in Gattuso......but that formation would be too defensive

Ohh yeah, Grosso sustained an injury this weekend....straining of the left abductor muscle in the thigh

If we are without Grosso I really hope it is Pasqual who gets chosen to play. Oddo is in good form, but I would like to keep Zambrotta on the right and put Pasqual left.

Here is something Interesting...

players called that were in the U21 tournament of the summer just gone = 0.

This is usually never the case! Either A. Donadoni doesnt trust them or B. the players from this level are good, but are just not making it to the top or C. Im just over-reacting and in a couple years we will get some quality youngsters through.

Yeah a real shame....Grosso has been one of the few good and consistent players for Inter so far
And your point is?

Umm...all I was saying is that Grosso was on good form, and playing extremely well....so his injury would be a loss for the NT, despite Pasqual's level

Stop taking things so personally

All I was doing is commenting on the loss of a first team regular in the NT

I dont see any loss at all.

Its about time Pasqual take over the spot n be a first team regular.

Grosso on good form? Are you kidding? He was one of Inter's worst players against Cagliari (he did absolutely nothing apart from the goal), and has been poor in every Inter game I saw him except against Roma (the league game).

I would say that is a very biased comment. We owe alot to Grosso for his performances in the World Cup. I agree evntually I would like to see Pasqual come into the first team, but Grosso didnt come a bad player overnight and he would still be my first choice if fit.

Donadoni considered quitting...

dammit, we were so close...

There's still time for further failure.

Anyway, now all the players have some playing time and he more or less has the squad he wanted, it's time for him to earn his money. I care less about performance than results, we need 2 positive results - badly!
