Who cares about Serie A anymore :pp
Interesti :lala:

P.S. What UML software application do you use?

UML is for whimps :pp Seriously, I hate it :lazy:

But if you must, there is Umbrello: http://uml.sourceforge.net/
What else should I excpect from you :lala: How do you model then?

I use Visual-Paradigm (they give the standard edition for free to Universities) and Poseidon community edition.

Poseidom is a slow mofo (java app afterall). The other one I haven't tried.

Tell you the truth I'm not terribly keen on modeling. There is so much more overhead in the process than benefit from it. I don't mind UML class diagrams that show inheritance and associations, but there are so many diagrams in UML I would never use for anything (unless it was some unusually complicated design, which then may be a sign that the design is more complicated than it has to be).

I kind of agree with you. sometimes less is more, or more is less! However, the class diagram, and sequence diagram are good to show the relationship and interaction between objects. Other diarams are just for complicated people :lala: and Reverse engineering is for lazy ones, :cough: me :cough:

Sequence diagram, is that the one where you map the message passing between objects with a time scale? I have nightmares over that remembering my old Java textbook. :D
Yeap, that's it :D

To refresh your memory, why don't you draw a sequence diagram to our OS debate? :lala: ;)

I aint happy with our transfer season either and im not the most optimistic person on earth, but really, can you guys get any more pessimistic than this?

Milan will get first place. The -8 is there just to make the season a bit more interesting because there's no Juve to be hot on our heels.

Oh right right, the "who owns free software? everyone or noone" debate. Shame I forgot about it, as it's a classic. :D

Well, why don't you do the honors :lala: )
This is supposed to refresh your memory, so you do it

Btw, do you code anything these days? :) (Bots or otherwise :D)
Only for teaching purposes, and I usually run for the management courses, for minimum coding :D Do you use an IDE or it is also overcomplicated :lala:

I don't like IDEs very much, they're slow and bloated. A lot of the stuff in them I literally never use. I've also tried tons of them (just poked around Eclipse this morning in fact), so I have some idea of what they offer. But unless it's a big project, I'd rather use kate and command line tools, like build scripts, rsync (for web sync) etc.

I like Netbeans, but that's because it is from Sun :lala:

I can't say I'm a fan of anything java that is gui. Java gui really sucks. Java as a server platform is alright, though.

Netbeans isn't too bad I guess, if you're stuck coding java.
Anything that keeps me away from your Microsoft dude ;)
