Having said that due to the spread that separates Juve from both Milan and Inter, given the fact that the Black&White team from Turin, will be facing a stuggleling Cagliari, also handicapped by the fact that 3 of their players have been suspended  2 of which are their central defenders :notlist: and the game a Juve homegame, it ain't the most thrilling of derbies, nevertheless, unfortunately may I add:
It's derby time :stress: :scared: :stress:

In pointing out for the less informed, in the last 4 years, 10 derbies have been played, some of which have made history :proud: in particular the 4 ties that saw Milan edging our cousins both in the 2002/03 and 2004/05 Champion's League clashes :star: not forgetting to mention other memourable ones, such as the famous 0-2 to 3-2 comeback
Overall, in the last 10 Derbies, we've won 7 and drew 3 :shades: with Inter's last win secured by a knee goal from Bobone Vieri.
For all the above mentioned, obviously a true Milanista can have only one feeling >>>>>> :proud:
However, the good, if not indeed sensational news ends here :depress:
Clearly, The Law Of Averages  is adverse to The Devilhood  every derby w're about to play, should be considered a very possible defeat :frustrat: unless one is foolish enough to think that we'll never lose a derby :notlist: unfortunately it's not only in the cards, but it's bound to happen :depress: personally I have a bad feeling upon the one at the doorstep :scared:
What makes our defeat even more possible :depress: is the fact that Ancelotti, most possibly, will be prevented from fielding: Maldini, Simic and Cafu :notlist: let's just hope that any of our remaining available defenders won't suffer even from hicups :hopefull:
In unfortunately remiding us all that a ever so needed Ambrosini  will be fit for play, no sooner than January :hopefull: we should unfortunately also consider the fact, that due to a very unlucky CL draw, as opposed to a rather lucky one, whilst Milan had to play the game of it's life vs Shalke 04 yesterday evening  Inter were allowed to field their reserves in the friendly game in Glasgow.
Realism undoubtebly suggests that our team will be knackered, exhausted, mentally tired and packed with injured players :depress:
In pointing out that Adriano has just recently picked up his form, if it's true that hes banged in 3 goals over the last 4 games :scared: and that recently they've tightened up defence, Mncini will have all his players at disposal and well rested.
It will be an away derby, I'll be there, may Uncle Lucifer save my soul

Despite all
Forza Milan

it's that time of the year

But how about 4 wins out of 4 against Inter in 2005, now that's a thought :hopefull:
Tyge, I wouldn't survive 4 derbies :scared:
Have mercy :hopefull:

Well, you've already survived three ;)

Even though things went wrong in May, 2005 should be remembered as the complete humiliation of our dear Cugini, if we get that final win on Sunday, that is

Ooooh I'm so excited for this one. It's gonna be one hell of a game, like always.

Diavolo, what does the sentence under Il Leoni mean? I really have to learn some italian...

We all know sooner or later they will win. But we all know there is a good chance it will rather be later. :D

All odds are in our favour I think. We have a better team and we usually perform well when the "knife reaches the bone" as we say in Bulgarian. A draw will be bad for both teams. If we lose we might very well find ourselves 4th 11 pts a drift from Juve. Now, that will be too much. Equally,m its probably the last train for Inter too.

Hopefully we are not that exhausted from S 04 game. I am not sure what will be the face of our D really. And honestly I am not sure what it should be. May be Simic-Nesta-Stam-Serg is a good option. But its time to field Jannkulovski more and I think he can take Serg place. Gilal will start with Sheva most probably.

The added incentive for us winning this derby is that we, and more importantly our cugini :D will set a new Serie A record of consecutive losses at home to the same opposition

Currently, Inter are tied with Bologna with 6 straight home losses against the same opposition in the league, so we must go for a WIN at all costs :fero:

By the law of averages, a derby win for Inter is long overdue :stress: and it could very well end in a draw too :undecide: But should that happen :scared: let that be in the return fixture when we're the "home" team :hopefull:

Let's go for the record!

The Quest For #7 :hopefull:

#1 was achieved on 23 Oct 1999, MatchDay 7 of the 1999-2000 season.

Milan have not won a derby for a while, and were facing an Inter team packed with an incredible offensive firepower in the likes of Ronaldo, Vieri, Baggio and Recoba :stress: While Milan's new summer signing Andriy Shevchenko was playing in his first ever Milan derby.

Ronaldo gave Inter the lead in the 20th min when he converted a penalty. The lead lasted only 8 minutes as derby debutant Sheva marked his 1st derby outing with an equalising goal :proud: Milan snatched all 3 points late in the game with Weah scoring the winning goal

Final Score: Inter 1 - 2 Milan

Milan's first derby win over Inter in ??? (I can't remember how many games :embarass: All I can remember was that Milan have not won a derby for several years  ) games and more fittingly, the long awaited win came in our centenary season :proud:

Has anyone offered a bet to the Interistas this time, or is it a waste of time given their track record with these things? :lala:

#2 was the unforgettable "Tennis Match" :proud: on 11 May 2001, Matchday 30 of the 2000-01 season.

It was a season of ups and downs of Milan. Having lost scudetto winning coach Zaccheroni after we were knocked out from Europe :depress: Milan had to play Inter with caretaker manager Cesare Maldini and Mauro Tassotti on the touchline.

It was a derby where Inter were the odd-ons favourite to win, though Serginho had other ideas  In all fairness to Il Concorde, The tennis match should be renamed "Serginho's derby". Never have I seen Javier Zanetti being shredded to blue and black stripes :dazed: Sergio simply owned the Inter skipper like he was playing against some amateur from your local Sunday kickabout game :proud:

Gianni Commandini wrote his name into derby folklore by netting 2 goals (his only goals of the season) in the first half to give us a 2-0 lead at halftime. Further goals were added in the 2nd half goals from Giunti :eekani: and Sheva (x2) Man-of-the match Serginho added the icing on the cake and drove the final nail in Inter's coffin with a 6th goal 9 minutes from time.

The priceless moment about this match was not the final score :eekani: But a pitch invasion by a cugino when the score was 4-0 :D He ran onto the pitch and begged Billy for the matchball :howler: before being duely escorted off the pitch by the security :lala:

Final score: Inter 0 - 6 Milan

If Serginho was the architect of the Tennis Match, then #3 should be named "Contra's derby" :proud:

#3 was recorded on 21 Oct 2001, Matchday 8 of the 2001-02 season.

Both Milan and Inter were having a relatively good early season and Milan went into the derby playing an impressive brand of football under new coach Fatih Terim.

However, it was Inter who drew first blood in this derby with an early goal from Nicola Ventola, who tapped the ball into an empty net after Abbiati flapped at catching a cross from Kallon :frustrat: Our cugini managed to hold on the their 1-0 lead till halftime :frownani:

At half-time, Terim introduced Contra for an ineffective Albertini and the rest is history :proud: Milan hit back with 3 quick goals within the space of 5 minutes in the 2nd half through Shevchenko, Inzaghi and Contra, with the Romanian scoring the goal of the match with an unstoppable 25m drive past Toldo from outside the box with his weaker left foot :eekani: :proud:

Sheva added his 2nd and Milan's 4th :strong: before our cugini grabbed another consolation goal through Kallon in injury time.

Final score: Inter 2 - 4 Milan

#4, #5, #6 will be added later today  Cause I'm having a real busy day at work :stress:

Contra was introduced for Albertini, and Gattuso was moved to the central mid. Nice move by Terim and the victory saved his job ... at least for a couple of weeks.

Great post nevertheless, ilgenio :cool::thumbsup:
:embarass: :embarass: :embarass:

I knew there'll be some mistakes somewhere due to a busy workday :stress: First I forgot to post the tennis match 6 times :D and now I got the substitution for Contra wrong :wallbang:

That's it! I'm leaving #4, #5, #6 later today when I'm home  And there should be no further mistakes in the match reports :hopefull:
