It does matter. It matter when I go to Greece and Im not wearing the Eurostyle clothes. It matters when I have an accent in my Greek. It matters when people look at me and pre-judge me because I am an American and act as an American and not as a Greek.

It matters a lot. Im sure that if you, not knowing who I was, saw me walking in Plaka you'd think I was some retard tourist hick.

Its not everyone but its damn close. Last time I was there (2 summers ago) all the guys my age were wearing tight capri pants that end right under the knee and those sleeveless club shirts that are skin tight. The mullet was also the style of choice.

IMO the clothes Greek guys wear are horrible. I wouldnt be caught dead wearing that shit.

You're hanging in the wrong places, then... ;) Only the very annoying posers (kangoures, but you wouldn't know what that means) sport sleeveless shirts and mullets.

However, capri pants are cool. Better than shorts...

Well the only people who wear capri in the states are chicks (and posh ones at that) and those sleeveless shirts I saw were... effeminate to say the least...

And I saw this everywhere. During the day on ferries on the street and at night definitely these "kangoures" were all over the place.

manly shorts>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>sissy capri pants

Shorts manly but capri pants sissy? You have some weird sense of fashion over there. :D

And girls wear different kind of capri pants, more tight. Men's capris (don't know if they are called this way) are more baggy.

er, think we've gone off topic a bit fellas.

i dont think either squad will be rocking up in capri pants and sleevless tops!

...that's because they won't be rocking at all by the looks of things. Still this thread's becoming a laugh.I'll keep it open. :)

if I was in that position, I'd be called worse! :eekani:

No, we just don't wear ass-length shorts, sleeveless T-shirts and sandals with white socks like American tourists
that's what the Swedes wear down here.

that makes two of us. I totally detest that look! :frustrat:

Men's capris (don't know if they are called this way)
..probably cos they were first sighted in some town near naples.

I know that, and it's not a town it's an island, but I didn't said "why" they're called that. ;)
