Well I can't be at the game, there's a lot of Derby fans at my work and only a lucky few could get the night off, so it's a mix of radio and TV in the canteen for me.

I really hope we can do this, one last time before I go too work

COME ON YOU RAMS!!! :D

0-0...Derby will be playing Championship football next season but overall we have to be very happy with this season. Burley has spent nothing, not a penny and yet he has made us a playoff team, injuries hurt us at the end but we need to move on, look for new players and look forward to next season and hopefully going up!

COME ON YOU RAMS!!!

We'll beat Preston for you :shades:

what a superb morning!

Man, I was sick as a parrott last night, especially when I watched the highlights and Rasiak crying while the game was still in play.

Things didn't go for us, injuries, dodgy goals numerous penalties turned away, then we finally get one we shouldn't have and Rasiak hits the post.

Preston we're dirty, cheating time wasting all game, Brian O'Neill was a disgrace, I'm glad he no longer shames a Derby County Football shirt, but worst of all was Claude Davis who elbowed Pescji full on right n fornt of the linesman, about 3 yards away and the idiot some how didn't see it.

Oh well looking back, it's been a good season, just a shame I don't get a chance to visit the Millenium stadium.

It looks too be a really tough league next season. lets hope we're up there again :)

FOUR ON WAY (from dcfc.co.uk)

Rams Skipper Ian Taylor is one of four players released by the club after George Burley announced his 'retained list' on Saturday morning.

In what the Rams boss called 'one of the most difficult decisions a manager has to make', George has not renewed the contracts of Taylor, Marco Reich, Junior and Chris Makin - although the former Ipswich defender's future with the club will be reviewed in the close season.

Young defender Pablo Mills is the only player out of contract in the summer who will be offered a new deal.

"All these players have done their best for the club, it has been a difficult decision and they all depart with our best wishes for the future," said George. "Junior was unlucky with a long-term injury last season and could not find a way into the starting line-up this year and Ian Taylor has been a tremendous club captain during his two seasons with us. He's a real professional and has been a great ambassador for Derby County. We will look at the Chris Makin situation in the summer but I'm delighted to be offering Pablo Mills a new contract."
Thirty-six-year-old Ian Taylor joined the Rams from Aston Villa in June 2003 on a 'Bosman' free transfer and soon proved his reputation as a midfielder who can score crucial goals.

Appointed skipper at the start of the 2003-04 season in place of Warren Barton, the veteran went on to be the side's top appearance maker with 42 games and top scorer with 12 goals in a difficult campaign. He scored the best goal of the season, volleying a 25-yard shot into the top corner in the home win over Watford, and was George Burley's Player of the Year. He signed a one-year extension to his contract in the summer of 2004 and was re-appointed captain for the 2004-05 campaign. He scored the winner against his former club Aston Villa during a pre-season friendly in August 2004. It was an emotional night for the ex-Villa man who earned a standing ovation from both sets of fans. He went on to score three goals in 26 starts during 2004-05.

Marco sepia pressReich joined the Rams from German league leaders Werder Bremen in January 2004. He was part of Kaiserslautern's 1998 championship-winning side and has made one appearance for the German national side. He arrived on the same day Jamie Vincent signed for the club. He quickly became a hit with the fans due to his skill and his willingness to interact with the crowd during games.

Junior caught the attention of Rams fans when he netted a hat-trick against Derby while on loan with Walsall.

George Burley snapped him up a few months later, in August 2003, and he returned to the Bescot Stadium in September 2003 to score the only goal as the Rams ran out 1-0 winners against the Saddlers.

His hero status was earned with a goal against local rivals Nottingham Forest at the City Ground 10 days later but it was during that match that he picked up a cruciate ligament injury that would leave him sidelined until the last month of the 2003-04 campaign. He marked his return to action as a goal-scoring substitute in the Rams' 5-1 win over Preston in April 2004.

Junior was in great form during the pre-season campaign, scoring six goals in a 30-minute spell during a 15-0 thrashing of Norway side Team Halden. The 28-year-old joined Rotherham on loan at the end of October 2004 and returned to score the winner in a 2-1 third round FA Cup defeat of Wigan in January, his only goal of the campaign.

Chris MakinMakin joined the Rams from Leicester City in February. He previously played under George Burley when he guided Ipswich to fifth place in the Premiership. The 32-year-old was impressing at left-back for the Rams but a heel injury ruled him out of the play-off campaign.

I would have liked too have seen Makin given a new contract straight away, but I suppose with Jackson back too fitness, and having not had a bad game all season, it wasn't seen as a priority.

Taylor's passed it, last season he did well, this season he wasn't up too it.

Reich, promised so much but delivered little, it's a shame he has great ability.

Junior, the forgotten man by Burley, he should have been given more chances imo, but he was always being released.

Mills gets a contract, he's good as cover at centre back, but we need fresh faces being brought in for that position over the summer.

Also with Taylor gone a new club captain must be picked, personally think it should be Kenna, he's been excellent standing in for Taylor this season.

Already heard of a couple of pre season freindlies, we will play Birmingham at home and Mansfield, not sure if that's home or away though.

millwall rule said:
ive alway liked junior hope he sigs for millwall as he is a greta goalgetter.I never liked makin or taylor and Reich is a great layer but very very inconsistent
Yes Junior knows where the goal is, no doubt he will bang in a few goals against us next season for whoever he signs for.

There is still a possibility we will sign Makin, I hope we do, he was excellent for us.

I would have also liked to see Makin stay but other than that I'm not too disapointed. Reich didn't care anymore and we don't need players like that. Hopefully Mills signs, he can be a good solid defender but we have to try to sign some other center backs.

Kevin Miller has left the club after his loan spell, but like Makin, George Burley says he could be back on a more permanent deal. The Miller one worries me, he was only brought in on loan as cover as a keeper, with Camp and Grant fit why would we need him? It points towards Camp being sold too me, I hope I'm wrong though.

Apparently Jeff Kenna has been told too look for a new club :nono: he was outstanding in the 2nd half of the season, and would be my pick for the new club captain with the departure of Taylor.

Also another player who is still in contract has been told too find a new club, but no name has been confirmed.

It looks like it will be a busy summer at Pride Park, hopefully more will be coming in than going out.

Another room is that Wolves want Adam Bolder, for ÂŁ400 000.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I wouldn't be happy with that, but if someone offered that sort of money for Bolder, I wouldn't be too surprised too see him go. Hopefully there is no truth in this rumour.

I've been reading things that have got me annoyed, worried and on the verge of anger.

Apparently in one of the national newspapers, they are saying that George Burley has been accused on turning up too work drunk, and players are being asked too give evidence against him, but no players have.

It's believed that this is all because the Board want too sack Burley...I mean can you actually believe that? After what he has done for us. The current board is very unpopular among supporters as it is, if they are behind this getting out, and try or do sack Burley, it could be the end for them, as it won't just be Manchester United fans protesting, it's been seen before at Derby, and with the sheer hatred some peole have for the current board, it could be seen again.

I'm trying too find more info on this, as the club itself have not yet commented.

"Former Town manager George Burley has denied allegations made to a number of Derby County players that he turned up to training sessions drunk after the Rams' play-off defeat to Preston.

According to reports, a club official asked four players to give evidence, highlighting occasions when the former Scotland international full-back had appeared drunk at training and had behaved unprofessionally.

None of the players are understood to have acceded to the request, while a friend of Burley is quoted as describing the accusations as "ludicrous".

Burley unexpectedly took the Rams to the play-offs, however, a boardroom power struggle has continued to destabilise the club.

The 48-year-old boss is understood to have been displeased at the appointment of director of football Murdo Mackay when the club was taken over last summer, and moves have reportedly been made towards forcing Burley out of his job.

Derby are yet to make a comment on the matter, while Burley may approach the League Managers' Association to assist in his defence. "

Oh dear oh dear, this can not be happening. It is well known that Burley likes a drink, but he doesn't get plastered then turn up too take training, that's just absurd.

heres the bit from the BBC site

Tuesday 24th May 2005| 10:00

A National newspapers is reporting that allegations have been levelled at George Burley turning up for work drunk. The paper says that several players were asked to give evidence against the Derby Manager but all of them refused. It also goes onto suggest that the allegations are part of a plan to oust Burley just days after the club lost in the play offs to Preston.

It also reports that Burley is unhappy with the role of Murdo Mackay as Director of Football. No-one from the club has been available to comment.

Meanwhile, Burley says he wants to know how big his playing budget will be as soon as possible, so he can start the rebuilding of his Derby squad. Burley's targeted three new players so far, but is waiting on a meeting with the board later this week to find out how much money he'll have. The Rams manager says it's a frustrating period.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can sense that the Sh1t will well and truely hit the fan if this isn't sorted out very soon.

There are rumours that Burley is considering hos position, that he is unhappy with Murdo Mackaay's position at the club. He has told BBC 5 Live that he has been unhappy with certain issues at pride Park for some time. The sale of Huddlestone springs too mind, he is not happy the board have not given him any clue to what next seasons budget is.

Apparently Derby have issued a statement that they are not investigating Burley, but I trust that fat w@nker Jeremy Kieth as far as I could throw him...I couldn't even pick the guy up, never mind attempt to throw him ;) and the said statement has not appeared on the official website yet.

This had better all be sorted out soon

Something too cheer Burley up, American baed website soccerwotld.com, named him their choice for the Championships manager of the year....shame that evryone in Englands is giving it too Mick McCarthy just because Sunderland won the league...without sounding too biased ;) Burley's achievement too turn the club around without spending a penny, was better in my opinion.
