...of course business is everywhere, like life you get attached with what you have more frecuent relation, but still for me Argentina is above Boca, still has the NT more stuff going about just being the best, and less business smell surrounding (I mean in the player/fan perspective)...about being more boring? well is all about coaches always and their choices, but always a NT coach has the opportunity of arming almost an impossible team club (well at least mine and many other powerhouses)...

It's tough but first and foremost I was born a Serb, then I chose to support Red Star. I am equally nervous but if I had to choose whether the NT or my club were successful, WC or CL I'd have to go with my country winning the world cup. Probably because Red Star have already been champions of Europe ;)

The Dutch national team comes in the first place...

I'm not really a fan of a particular club, I just like Dutch football in general.
Right now I like AZ because they play the most attractive football in Holland.

Country always comes first for me, it shouldn't really be a debate as the club and country don't play at the same time. The only worry is injuries but the players are no more likely to be injured playing for their country as for their club so it is a worthwhile risk (in my opinion)

What I don't agree with is the large number of pointless international friendlies, especially when we travel to play them (forthcoming matches in USA for example) I'd use fringe players for friendlies personally.

And on the club vs country issue Michael Hughes has declined the invitation to play in Poland because he has an "important relegation battle" coming up next week (vs Boro). I think all Palace's remaining fixtures will be important, perhaps all players who are in a title fight or relegation struggle should be excused

that's interesting that many more players are now retiring from Internationals early, the importance of club grows all the time even with the players, money rules and all that.

Scum who retire early should never have been allowed to play IMO. I think that Scholes' retirement came at the same time as his contract was no coincidence. If this trend of retiring early continues most players will have eight years of international football and be retired by 30. I can't understand Scholes retiring, he must have had enough medals for his club to satisfy most footballers. Perhaps he realises he has more chance of winning another trophy with the mancs than with England although there is nothing to stop him winning a trophy with the mancs while playing for England as he has in the past (not that the mancs are gauranteed the same volume of trophies these days)

Read today Ljungberg is going to end his playing career with Sweden which sounds a bit odd since he can't end it playing with England :rollani: I can imagine Beckham coming up with a classic quote when he retires

Scholes was wasting his time though, kept getting stuck on the left he probably thought what's the point playing for this bufoon ?

Ljungberg apparently was misquoted but Lauren retired at 25, more years playing means more money for the players, that's the bottom line to them.

Loko for me. It's the only team I support with passion, the only team whose loss nearly makes me cry. As for NT... well, of cos I'd like them to win, but I don't care about them as I care about Loko.

Hard to say for me. CSKA is like a member of the family and it hurts more when they lose. The Russian NT is so ****ed up and wierd right now, at times it gets hard to take them seriously.

I value both my club and country as equal entities. Since they obviously do not compete against one another, I am able to support each to the same extent.
