A thread-topic stolen from the Belgians, but after two players again grabbed my attention this weekend I simply had to make one here too. I only hope that we won't be watched by some sneaky scouts too.
Both played in Heerenveen's win against NAC this weekend and both still played a division lower last season.
KJ Huntelaar : PSV looked to have made a good move some seasons ago, when they stole KJ from De Graafschap's youth in order to prepare him for the big stuff in their own ranks. Only like so many times the words 'own youth' and 'PSV' don't match. I was waiting for his breakthrough, but I never happened. Also cause Kezman kept banging them in and if he had support upfront it was from the unpolished Vennemongool. Last season KJ made his mark though when he was loaned out to AGOVV, where he became topscorer of the league straight away. Still that title hasn't been a good omen for everyone, but Huntelaar was smart and still a youngster and thus made a wise decision to go to SC Heerenveen. I think he has scored 4 so far now, eventhough Heerenveen hasn't exactly been in the greatest shape yet and the goals he scored were also of good quality. Not just tap-ins.
Ugur Yildirim : A player from which I expected even a bit more or at least hoped. Since his stats in the GGD the last two seasons were impressive. Both goals and assists were up in the 15 + I think. Only being just a player of the Go Ahead we couldn't see much of it, but now.... Eventhough he hasn't a real action or speed, he has an excellent rightfoot, whch results in great crosses and freekicks. If a ****er like Christmastree gets called up already for the NT a player like Ugur would deserve it even more, although he will probably go for the Turks I guess if they call him.
