Anwar El Ghazi (24 - RW)
Image
Lille > Aston Villa - £8m (Perm from loan)

Villa had to sign El Ghazi given that he was the dude who got them to the premier league in the end, had a good second half of last season, hopefully he can live up to the promise he showed as a young player at Ajax.

Rumours today..

- Man Utd bidding for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire, going to be very expensive as neither Palace or Leicester need to sell.

- West Ham close to singing Pablo Fornals from Villarreal.

- Arsenal apparently quite close to picking up Yannick Carrasco from Dalian as he's apparently sick of China.

Moussa Djenepo (21 - LW)
Image
Standard Liege - Southampton - £13.5m

Young player picked up from the Belgian league who's apparently really good. Be lying if I said I knew a lot about him.

EDIT - Having watched him a bit on youtube, this dude looks like a great dribbler, time will tell if he can carry the ball like he has been against more streetwise premier league defenders, though.

Wesley (22 - ST)

Club Brugge > Aston Villa - £22m

Villa have broken their transfer record to sign this dude. He's 22 and although his scoring record doesn't look great for the price, he looks to have very good hold up and link up play, kind of like a Benteke or Rondon type of player. Will be interesting to see how he develops.

Are they easier with work permits nowadays? he doesn't have any kind of international experience with Brazil.

Fee over 20 million and he'll earn loads = automatic work permit nowadays?

Pablo Fornals (23 - AM)

Villarreal > West Ham - £24m

Now this seems like an interesting signing, a good technical player with a good eye for a pass. It'll be interesting to see whether he can co-exist with Lanzini. They've got a lot of sauce in that team now with him, Lanzini, Anderson, Arnautovic, Wilshere and Yarmolenko.

Makes sense for Villa to make this one permanent, not massively expensive, decent depth player and gives them continuity from last season.

Rumours at the moment (really quiet summer in England so far).

- Man City are going to pay Rodri's release clause after he agreed to join them.

- Man Utd want Issa Diop so West Ham have asked United for Anthony Martial.

- Palace are looking at Timothy Castagne if United buy Wan Bissaka from them.

- Leicester still working on signing Tielemans on a permanent basis.

Everton have sold Nikola Vlasic to CSKA on a permanent basis. I kind of feel like he didn't really get much of a chance and might come back to the EPL further down the road, but Everton did manage to turn a profit on him and they do have a bloated squad which needs significantly cutting down.

Matt Clarke (22 - CB)

Portsmouth > Brighton - £4.5m

One of the most promising young centre backs outside the top flight gets a big move to the premiership. Unless Dunk or Duffy leave, it's unlikely he'll start straight away, but seems a good investment for the future.

More rumours (still not a great deal actually happening yet).

- Arsenal keen on Kieran Tierney, Florian Thauvin and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, they might also be interested in another CB if they let Koscienly go to Lyon.

- Liverpool potentially looking at Nicolas Pepe to give them a rotation option for the front three.

- Man City looking to buy Rodri to be Fernandinho's long term replacement and Joao Cancelo for a Walker back-up or alternative if they play Walker at CB sometimes like England do.

- Man Utd are being linked to pretty much buying and selling anyone seemingly at random.

- Spurs linked most strongly to Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, depends on what happens with Eriksen I guess, supposedly willing to sell Trippier, who a lot of Italian sides seem keen on.

- Everton seem to be concentrating on getting Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma back before moving onto other targets.

Josip Drmic (CF - 27)
Image
Monchengladbach > Norwich - Free

Not really sure what to make of this signing. He doesn't seem to have done anything of note since that season with Nurnberg where he was banging them in about 5 years ago. Farke has got a good track record with buying players from Germany though, might be an option off the bench for the odd late goal.

Andre Gomes (26 - CM)
Image
Barcelona > Everton - £22m (Perm from loan)

Sexy Andre Gomes signs for Everton permanently. This was always pretty inevitable as both club and player seemed very happy with each other last season. Decent price, too.

^ Barcelona don't know how to sell a player. If it was us he would go for at least 40.

Apparently Liverpool are the odds on favorite to sign Bruno Fernandes.
