this kid is brilliant. We love him already. He's a fantastic dribbler and has a great reading of the game.

He started this weekends game against Braga in a more offensive role (he forced a big save out of the keeper one minute into the game), but when our starting 'trinco' went down with an injury...Akos was forced into player a more defensive role. And guess what? He looked great.

He has superstar written all over him!!!!

Thank you Hungary! And I hope you guys make the Euro!!! :)

not the first comment I've read like this.

so the idea is play in NB1 untill your 16 then move abroad to learn tactics and technique :)

szabics had the the right idea so did miki, but what does the future hold for gera?
The technique is and always has been there, they need to move abroad so that they get fit, learn to run, and fight for 50/50 balls.

In early August he had an offer to play in Estrela da Amadora (Liga de Honra/II Division) but he preferred to stay at FC Porto B. He argued that he has 2 years of contract and still hopes to get a place in the main squad. Porto B's coach is now Domingos, former international.
when Deco left I thought he would get a chance... but it will be difficult now they have Diego.

Thanks for the info

The Akos I know is far far away of being capable to do what Deco does. I've covered many matches of Akos in Académica and he always showed profile to act as centre-midfielder but not as a playmaker with the whole team waiting for a action of him. I know he had a sort of a similiar task in the Hungarian young NT's but it's just not enough to hold on. I also believe he will never get the chance to play as regular in FCP main squad. Even for any type of midfield place in the squad I doubt he has enough quality, really. It's a question of waiting till the contract ends because if Porto counted on him he would have already been called, it's what I feel. It's not this very tough season Victor Fernandez has in hands (with the extremely complicated start of season) that he will bet in Akos, a player with no guarantees.

Pilgrims land Porto star

Plymouth Argyle have signed midfielder Akos Buzsaky on loan from Portuguese giants FC Porto.

The Hungarian Under-21 captain will remain with the Championship club until the end of the season and is eligible to make his debut against Preston North End on Saturday.

The 22-year-old impressed Pilgrims boss Bobby Williamson during a reserve match at Devon rivals Torquay United on Tuesday and the Scot was pleased to boost his squad with the addition of Buzsaky.

"I am delighted we have been able to get a player of his ability," Williamson told the club's official website.

"He has qualities which will enhance what we have already got and that will take this club forward."

Buzsaky's move to Home Park is his second loan spell away from Porto since joining the UEFA Champions League holders from Hungarian side MTK Budapest three years ago.

Last season, he spent time on loan with Portuguese side Academica.

Buzsaky Signs

ARGYLE were given a boost on the eve of their Coca-Cola Championship
game against Preston North End when Porto midfielder Akos Buzsaky
joined the Pilgrims.
The Pilgrims fought off competition from Premiership sides to land
Buzsaky, 22, who has signed a loan deal which will see him remain at
Home Park for the remainder of the season.
The Hungarian Under-21 international captain's international
clearance came through just in time for him to be considered for the
Pilgrims' starting line-up against Preston at Home Park on Saturday
afternoon.
The signing was confirmed to Argyle shareholders by Pilgrims'
chairman Paul Stapleton before the club's annual meeting at Home
Park on Friday night.
Buzsaky played for the Pilgrims in the 5-0 behind-closed-doors
victory over Torquay at Plainmoor on Tuesday, when he clearly
impressed Argyle manager Bobby Williamson.
"I am delighted we have been able to get a player of his ability,"
said Williamson.
"He has qualities which will enhance what we have already got and
that will take this club forward."
He joined current European Champions Porto for £400,000 from MTK
Budapest three years ago during present Chelsea manager Jose
Mourhino's managerial reign, and has been a regular for the club's B
side.
He has already been loaned out by Porto, to fellow Portuguese First
Division side Superliga side Academica, last season.

Plymouth Argyle boss encouraged by new Hungarian star

Bobby Williamson was pleased with the contribution of new signing Akos Buzsaky in Saturday’s game with Preston

The 22-year-old midfield only joined Argyle late last week after impressing in a trial but started the Home Park clash and was one of the few bright spots for Plymouth in a 2-0 defeat.

Buzsaky has signed on loan until the end of the season after playing for Porto’s B side in Portugal and the Hungarian under-21 international hit the post with a rasping first half effort.

Argyle boss Williamson said: "I thought it would be better to start with him and get as much out of him as we could and then replace, rather than bring him on as a sub when maybe we were chasing the game, or a goal.

"The first impressions are that he's capable. His strike was a great effort but, unfortunately, it never went in."

Ákos hasnt played since this game (I think) but I found this report on the Preston game.

HUNGARIAN SO CLOSE TO SCORING ON HIS DEBUT

New Hungarian signing Akos Buzsaky made his debut for Plymouth Argyle as they were beaten 2-0 by Preston North End at Home Park on Saturday. The midfielder was included in the starting line-up after his loan move from Porto was finalised on Friday afternoon.

Buzsaky was one of four changes to the Argyle team which lost 1-0 at Gillingham the previous weekend.

But they still slipped to their fourth defeat in five Championship matches to leave them 20th in the table.

Buzsaky, a former Hungarian under-21 international captain, played for 64 minutes of his debut for Argyle before he was replaced by David Friio.

The highly-rated 22-year-old almost opened the scoring for the Pilgrims in the first half with a scorching 25-yard shot which rebounded off a post.

Buzsaky was signed on loan until the end of the season after impressing in training and during a behind-closed-doors game at Torquay on Tuesday.

He has been playing regularly for Porto's B team in the Portuguese third division this season, but the pace of Championship football is much faster and it was no surprise it took its toll on him in the second half. Manager Bobby Williamson said: "We knew he would tire and that's why I started with him. He played the 90 minutes during the week (against Torquay) and he came through.

"There was the mental strain there as well, with a young lad coming into a new country.

"I thought it would be better to start with him and get as much out of him as we could and then replace, rather than bring him on as a sub when maybe we were chasing the game, or a goal.

"The first impressions are that he's capable. His strike was a great effort but, unfortunately, it never went in."

Hungarian star keen on permanent Plymouth deal

Akos Buszaky is looking to stay at Home Park beyond the end of the season

The midfielder is on loan from Portuguese champions FC Porto until the end of the season and has impressed manager Bobby Williamson in his brief time at the club.

Buszaky had been playing for the B team at last season’s Champions League winners and said: "I'm here, I'm happy and I want to stay, I will work to stay here.

"It was one of my dreams to come to England and play and I'm optimistic I can stay here."

heres some hozzászólás from a plymouth forum:

" I've been impressed with him alot, he has worked hard in every game he has played in and really looks like he has adapted well to this league. I would definitely like to see us sign him permanently at the end of the season, and I hope the board do all they can to make that happen."

"He has done very well in the games I have seen him play, seems skillful but also has that little bit of agression and passion that could see him become a great player. Would like to see him stay, would be a good replacement for Friio. Can play anywhere in the midfield from what I have seen."

"Akos is rapidly becoming a star at Plymouth.
He played a really good match last night showed how skilful he is and also put in 100% effort and battled all match.
We would love to sign him permanently and if we don't get relegated then I think we have a good chance of him joining permanently.
He could become a green legend!"

" hi, he's getting better each game. his quality is beginning to show as he settles in. Can't be easy for him as football over here is very different to that played in europe. would love him to stay but i think he may have his sights set a little higher than us, quite rightly so, he is very good."

its certainly a very good option.

dont forget he and Szabics smashed goals passed everyone at under 21 level  they have a good understanding.

the options we have are Lisztes, Hajnal, Ottó or Buzsáky IMO.

and I think we shoud rule out Ottó straight away, what ever happened to him? taking on all comers in the CL and moving to Barcelona then Miruta's reserve at Cottbus

out friends at index have collect more quotes from English forums.

"Buzacky - Awsome"

"Good player but will be gone in a couple of months"

"Great hair, boots, player, sign here please!"

"Akos is rapidly becoming a star at Plymouth. He played a really good match last night showed how skilful he is and also put in 100% effort and battled all match."
"Would love him to stay but i think he may have his sights set a little higher than us, quite rightly so, he is very good."
