Meanwhile Alex Del Piero revealed to the Domenica Sportiva TV programme that he had seriously thought about leaving Juve especially "after the Champions League elimination and when the fans were against me."
Guys, what do u say?
I'm hoping him to stay :)

I read the newpaper account of the interview, and I saw the interview as well. Del Piero is not going anywhere. Here, I translated it from the Italian on The Juventus FC fan site.

December 18- While a guest on Italy's weekly sports show, "Domenica Sportiva", Alex Del Piero revealed that after his unfortunate injury two years ago in Udine, he often entertained the idea of leaving Juventus, and maybe even playing outside of Italy.
The star player stated he does not hide the fact that with the latest disputes at Juve, the thought of leaving was on his mind. The reality of the situation, he continued, was that he still believes himself to be important to the team, and that the team is also important to him.
As he concluded, "If a marriage is good, there's no motive for a break-up."

Do I see a new juventini in the forum? :)Welcome Jules!

Obviously most of the juventini wants DP to stay (I dare to say everyone). The fact that DP was thinking about leaving Turin didn't come as a bomb coz of the hard time he has had. The injury, poor season, EC, I believe everyone here knows how that story goes. And BTW- I don't want to experience another "Baggio move" unless we have a new talented lad in our squad. Guzman maybe?

It seems as if DP looks more confident now a days. Too bad he got injured AGAIN! :( I think if Ancelotti made him as captain DP will realise how much influence he has on the team, supportes etc. Great morale booster too!

I bet that Kova is leaving now when the transfer market opens. (Don't want it to happen tho)

The only striker we have that seems to be pleased at the moment is Trezz. Hope he keeps his good morale up, coz he's a jewel. CLINCH IN A HAT TRICK AGAINST ROMA!!! :D :D

Welcome Jules! I don't want DP to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why are we always having talk of players leaving & being sold??? I know, can't help it that they entertain thoughts of leaving or the top brass want to sell them.... but all this just gets on my nerves. :D Anyway, I'm sure most, if not all, Juventini want DP to stay!!!!!!! So he'd better stay!

I realy feel bad for DP :depress: . Nobody knew that he was thinking seriously to leave Juve. I mean he was hiding all that for along time. I don't know why those funs are attacking DP?? I know I know. THEY ARE ANGRY FOR SO..and SO.. , but what they'll get by doing that?! Nothing. Doing that won't help in returning the DP they know. It will just bring more and more problems. However, If those people got faces like these  :fero: since they were born, then it would be good for them to go and do boxing trainings with Tison. I'm absolutely certain that they'll be very very happy with thier NEW JOB and I'm sure that Tison won't refuse to help them. :D

I nearly quit Italy, admits Del Piero

Monday 18th December 2000 from onefootball.com

Juventus star Alessandro Del Piero has revealed that he considered quitting the Italian game when he was attacked by a fan during the summer.

The Italian international struggled to score from open play throughout last season as Juventus ended the campaign emptyhanded. He also had a poor Euro 2000 tournament and was widely blamed for Italy's defeat in the final to France after missing two glorious chances in the second half.

During pre-season he was attacked by a frustrated fan after a friendly game in Rome and, speaking on Italian television, Del Piero said: "I can't hide the fact that when a supporter attacked me I thought of leaving Juventus and Italy.

"Juventus is my life, but there are moments in a man's life when he has to choose. Now I think I'm important for the team, and if that continues, well there's no reason to stop it."

Manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed he had no idea that his star forward was thinking about a move, saying: "Del Piero didn't talk to me about this.

"If he had I would try to convince him to stay with us. We have confidence in him."

Director Luciano Moggi said: "I can understand how he felt two months ago. I mean, money is not everything in life. Alex has suffered from an incredible number of injuries over the last few years and it's always possible to get discouraged if that happens.

"We have to understand his position, but now he has said Juventus means everything to him and we are very happy about that."

Well, at least now he admits the marriage is good.. we won't hear any surprise divorce news...

but seriously I won't be surprised if DP really leaves..
Everybody just need a good reason to do somethin.
eg. Bati & Fio.

We can only try to keep a good player... :) Hopefully he's loyal.. and I think DP is :)
