Claudio Ranieri is the man, Dude keeps overachieving with small sides but is not made to coach big sides probably. It appears like EPL is only league you dont know who will win the title ( Bayern, PSG, Barcelona, Juventus ..)

Alot of big teams underachieving. So much money spent , being wasted.

Spurs have best defensive partnership in league in Alderwiereld and Vertonghen, and a great keeper so I think it is very possible that they can get 4th

It will be hard for Leicester to get that Champions League place. They have had a fantastic start for this season but its still only 32 points for the first half of the season with 3 matches remaining - away at Everton and Liverpool and home at Chelsea. Id say them ending up with 35,36 points for the first half of the season seems likely but even then you have a situation where theyd need to be as good also in the second half of the season as well to get that 70 points or more that has been the usual line for the CL .

And that is something that is not really likely to happen imo. They have a good offense at the moment but also a defense that leaks in a fair amount of goals meaning that should their offensive line have a bad spell, they will suffer.

Not to piss on their achievement or anything but them being at the first spot is more to do with the fact that none of the usual contenders have been particulary good this season.

They've done really well, but it would still be incredible for them to stay in the top 4 until the end of the season. Every year you have a smaller club overachieving in the first half of the year, but they tend to fall away in the second half, when they get a few injuries and tiredness kicks in, and then the clubs with the bigger squads take over. There's also the issue that the better they get, the more teams will be wary of them. They'll find teams, particularly lower down in the table, setting up to frustrate and stop them playing, which is a particular issue for a counter attacking team like Leicester. You might actually find that they get some results against the bigger clubs over the next few weeks, but then lose against smaller clubs later on.

Of course it's likely that they'll have a hard time keeping up the way they have been so far, for all the reasons stated above and for other (they might just lose it as it often happpens; one bad defeat can ruin your mojo).

However, the one thing they can certainly work on is to make a couple of key signings. Getting a very solid CB that improve the team and a good attacking player to be a super-sub or complement those they have... That would likely almost secure them an Europa League spot, and would therefore would likely be a good investment.

Possible offside on barkley, need to check a replay

Big win, and Vardy finally doesn't score.

He did assist. He's always part of the goals.

Lukaku scores again to continue his streak. I dont know how much Maharez is at in a row as well.

I enjoy watching both teams tbh but I hope this fairytale continues and nobody gets sold in January.

Lost to liverpool and faces Man City on Tuesday, lose that and the decline settles in...

Not too confident on them winning the EPL but top4 is certainly achieveable. They came through the gauntlet where everyone was saying is their undoing and they came out with a respectable 7 points out of 12.

The predictions of doom for Leicester after one negative result have become a bit laughable as most of the top4 candidates have been dropping points all over the place.

In Prem history, I've seen it so many times where a let's be honest a pretty wank team has a good half season and are right up there and then they all fall away.

Villa were top Xmas Day in 1998, Blackburn right up there the season prior with Hodgson.

Sunderland were up there with Phillips and Quinn in 1999 or 2000.

They all fell off.

Obviously this season is a bit weird.

But they'll be VERY, VERY lucky to finish Top 4.

It's hard for these wank teams to last a full season, picking up so many points.

While winning the league is out of the question, Leicester has a good chance of finishing top-4. Just look at their competition. In previous seasons when top teams actually performed like top teams, I'd have said no. This season is different.

City shouldnt be, their squad is far stronger than arsenal or Leicester, just need a hunger to win every title and thats managers job...

It's usually the second half of the season where it starts to fall off.

December is still fairly early imo, to start bigging them up in terms of any sort of achievements, and it still means fairly little imo.

In a different context, Southampton last season were right in the Top 4 race, a good gap had opened up to 5th and 6th by this time.

And eventually fell way off and weren't even in the CL race.

The only difference is the strangeness of this season.

The other difference with Southampton was also that they had 6 points less at this stage of the season.

I think they need a new good £10m plus centre back, a £15-20m forward and an energetic midtielder on loan incase something happens to Kante.

If they went out and picked up say Inigo Martinez, Andriy Yarmolenko and Nigel De Jong then they could do it.
