May as well start a new thread as the old one seems redundant now. I have begun starting this as Parma 1913 as they seem to be the likely 'nuovo Parma'.

According to TV Parma we are about to sign Manuel Pera who scored 30 goals for Rimini in Serie D last season. Seems like a good move to sign the leagues top goalscorer straight away.

Positive sign that we are aiming for an immediate promotion back in to the professionals.

Lucarelli has again this week confirmed himself that he will captain of the new team, so it seems we know 2 of the starters now. I just hope we can get some of the best kids from the old Parma in to this squad.

I know it's hard, but it's time to go again and show our support.

FORZA PARMA PER SEMPRE

Would be a very good start to life for the new Parma is Lucarelli and Marrone resign and add the top scorer in Serie D!

As I've never really took up much interest in the armature leagues in Italy, which is the best way to keep up with the latest news regarding Parma?

Cannot say enough positive things about Alessandro Lucarelli.

Morrone close to agreeing a deal with 1913.

I like the ideas of 1913, but I want to hear more from Corrado. From 'rumour' he wants to start in Lega Pro and does seem to have more ambitious plans. He also wants to return to the gialloblu kits (obviously that's not a dealbreaker). 1913 is moving though and is moving well to please the fans. Corrado needs to start showing his real intentions.

Even in starting over its starts messy, why the confusion with two projects of restarting the club? Ideally you should keep your name (history) and colours, but go with whatever works best.

And yeah Lucarelli is the fvcking man

In a sensible world you'd have Corrado working with the 1913 consortium for the best of both worlds but rich men and their vanity projects I guess.

I can completely see why Corrardo wouldn't want to collaborate. To invest 50% or whatever in a Serie D club offers incredibly little value financially or full input on his part. He either wants full ownership, input and exposure or nothing. Which is fair enough.

Corrado is the more orthodox owner and I think under him the club would make quicker progress. Parma 1913 is a really nice idea and more fan friendly to prevent fools and criminals like Ghirardi running us into the ground. However, under this model with a 40% reliance on fans I question how far that could take us? Parma doesn't pull a huge audience as the city is fairly small and with economic times hard I can't see us ever being a driving force in Serie A again. More likely a drifting club between B-C with maybe an occasional push for A.

Is it not better to be a steady Serie B team than one that can stay mid-table in Serie A & always live on the risk of imploding if your owner turns out to be a crook? How many times do we need to learn that lesson?
