Ok, ok, now I get it. I wont compare him to anybody. I didn't mean to get you mad,

but if you want to try to understand ppl like myself, I can explain, that when I saw Macca the very first time, and that was long time ago, in 91/92 season, he impressed me very much. And as far as I know myself I'm not so easy to impress.

For example I don't give a damn about somebody like Ronaldo.

I grew up kicking the ball with ppl who would make Ronaldo look amateur, at least that's how they looked on the street level. But Macca, for me, was the best man on the field in 80-90% of the games I've seen him playing. For the past 10 years or so I got used to the fact that he is the king on the field. So, for me, and I know that I'm far from being singled out, Macca is one of the world's top players for the past decade, along with Zidane, Romario, Rivaldo, R.Carlos, Gazza, Bergkamp, Gullit, Maldini... Those are the players I enjoy watching the most. Besides, Macca is 28 years old, so when somebody says that let's wait and see, as if he is a promising teenager, or when somebody doubts his abilities, as if it was Campo, who was voted MoM 3 times in a raw, I find it a little odd. I understand when you talk about SPECIFIC situation, I know that the fans are behind him, but although he seem to be a nice guy, media has never been behind him. He isn't scandalous enough to make a perfect superstar that media like going crazy about. I know that that's impossible for media to go overboard about McManaman, rather opposite, if they say he was the best, that means he was clearly the best.
Bottomline: Macca is too good to doubt him.
One more thing. If you find a post too boring or bothersome, you can always skip over it, or ignore it. I think there should be no reason to get mad about it. In the end, we are simply discussing THE GAME...
