Got a better Rangers & DjurgĂĄrdens IF one but it doesnae fit :(

I thought the days game aginstKille would be a hard one and thought it would be 2-0. If i was offered 4-0 before kick off i would have thought that was a great score but i aint happy with the result after seeing the game, far too many chances wasted. Arteta n Mols played fantastic. haha that Marshalls worst than Stevie Woods

b***** hell duncan, aint you learnt your lesson from the Dick Advocaat years: it would be all over the tabloids - Rangers in for big name players but they just would not come, in the end they had to buy a premiership footballer absent from first-team football.
I thought it was Rivaldo mentioning that a scottish club was interested in signing him - not that he was interested in signing for a scottish club, if he is earning around 60, 000 - 80, 000 a week - I don't think he will bring his wage demands down to what Rangers can afford so stop dreaming.

your a moron honestly, how many clubs in the world now do you think can afford to pay a player 60 to 80 grand a week?

i could probably name 5

Scottish Report: Rangers Back On Top After 4-0 Win
Glasgow Rangers - Kilmarnock | Latest News | News Archive

05/11/2003. Rangers are back on top of the Scottish Premiership after a 4-0 win at home to Kilmarnock.

The margin of victory is crucial as title is set to come down to goal difference. The three points takes Rangers onto 91 for the season, which is the same as their Glasgow rivals Celtic. However, Rangers goal difference is now two better then the Bhoys with two games to go.

Celtic put the pressure on with a 1-0 win at home to Hearts yesterday, but Rangers halted their recent slide with a thumping victory this afternoon.

The nerves were settled with two goals in the opening ten minutes from Michael Mols. The Dutch striker netted after six minutes and again sixty seconds later, however the flow of goals didn't materlise for some time.

Shota Arveladze finally grabbed a third goal on 59 minutes and Claudio Caniggia made it 4-0 ten minutes from time.

Also the belgian newspapers are linking Sonck with the Rangers. According to Genk-manager Willy Hox, Rangers-manager Alex Mcleish will be attending the match STVV-Genk this week-end to scout Sonck. He will also be attending the last match of Genk this season. Afterwards the Rangers will decide whether they will make a bid for him or not.

Personally i think Sonck will be a great signing for the Rangers. :) I rate him pretty highly (better than E. Mpenza IMO). :star:
He's fast, got an eye for the goal, he's got a good shot in both leggs, and allthough he's only 1.75m he can jump very highly and is a very good header.

He's a bit a Bellamy or Kezman-type of player.

Sonck himself said some time ago he's tired of the belgian league and he wants to move abroad, and also Genk said they are willing to work with him on a possible transfer. They also said some time ago that time of high transfer sums are over (at first they asked half a million pounds or even more for him :greed: ), and they are willing to let him go for less money. :cap:

I can't believe this, this is weird as ****. Last month i think it was, or 6 weeks ago something like that - I had a dream in which Rangers signed Wesley Sonck, for some bizarre reason. I cannot believe we're actually being linked with him - but I tell you, WHAT a signing he'd be if this happened, because he's a superb goalscorer.

Kampfschwein, can you keep us informed mate?

Been getting linked with him for ages in various media and I've been touting him for the teddy bears since the start of the season

Class mate, superb. I'd be well chuffed if we signed Sonck, he's at the good age to make the move. If he was our first choice striker, I'd be very happy, here's hoping it materialises

Emerson Thome being linked strongly as well, apparently he's desperate to move.

This sonk charecter what age is he? Thome i don't want to see at rangers that much,it means that Amo has to go but hearing about this sonck dude well i suppose thats ware the money will be going and sounds like the player we really do need

Rangers easily defeat Hearts

Reuters

GLASGOW, Scotland -- The Scottish Premier League title will be decided on the final day of the season after Rangers secured a 2-0 win at Hearts on Sunday to draw level with Celtic at the top of the table.

The Glasgow rivals go into next Sunday's final round of matches locked together on 94 points from 37 games with an identical goal difference, Rangers having scored one more to head the standings.

Georgian striker Shota Arveladze missed a penalty in a tense encounter at Tynecastle, but it did not prove fatal to Rangers' title hopes as Ronald de Boer (65) and substitute Peter Lovenkrands (74) found the net.

"Missing the penalty, I wondered if it was going to be our year," Rangers manager Alex McLeish told reporters. "But then we've come up with a wonderful goal thanks to a great header from Ronald."

Third-place Hearts, who are almost assured of a place in next season's UEFA Cup, probably deserved to be ahead at halftime as they knocked the visitors out of their stride with a purposeful pressing game.

Mikel Arteta's early shot that shaved the bar was Rangers' best effort, but the visitors were grateful to goalkeeper Stefan Klos for keeping them level at the interval.

The German clawed a powerful Scott Severin free kick over the bar and produced a spell-binding one-handed stop to deny Mark de Vries.

The game swung towards Rangers just after the hour mark when De Vries inexplicably handled a corner but Finnish goalkeeper Tepi Moilanen saved Arveladze's spot kick by knocking it on to a post.

After Barry Ferguson missed two penalty kicks in a recent match at Dundee, the Rangers fans looked anxious but they did not have long to wait for the opening goal.

Hearts surrendered possession in attack and Arveladze skipped down a flank before crossing for De Boer to bullet home a close-range header.

Hearts were again exposed when Lovenkrands drilled the second into the net nine minutes later from De Boer's cut-back.

"Hearts were in the ascendancy in the first half and Stefan Klos has made a terrific save from De Vries," McLeish added. "That's the kind of save that can win you the game as long as you put your chances in the net."

Rangers will be favorites to win the title for the first time since 2000 on Sunday as they have a home game against Dunfermline Athletic, while champions Celtic return from Wednesday's UEFA Cup final against Porto to face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

I said would keep you guys up-dated, so here it is :) :

Today, the belgian newspapers mentionned the intrest of the
Rangers in Sonck is getting more and more concrete.

Sonck's manager 'Willy Hox' told that Alex Mcleish has now scouted him about three times and he knows what kinda player he is. Hox expects that the negotiations (sp?) will be started in the coming days.

Also accoring to the newspapers; the scottish newspapers say that Mcleish is very eager of signing Sonck after the head of the scout 'Ewan Chester' came back with very enthousiastic rapports about every time he wents scouting him.

Oyeah, the Rangers are willing to pay untill 3,2 million euro for Sonck.
