I really hope that Osasuna is not going down. :/

But if Osasuna wins and Real Valladolid wins against Granada, they are safe because Valladolid has lost the direct comparison against Osasuna. So it would be Betis, Real Valladolid and Granada who are going down then...

Can't see Almería going down.

Halftime:

Almería 0-0 Athletic

Chances for both teams although Athletic's were clearer, we could be up in the score. Every time Muniain touches the ball in offensive position we create a goal chance.

Other games:

Rayo 0-1 Getafe
Valladolid 0-1 Granada

Osasuna 1-0 Betis was stopped in minute 15 due to a fence falling down in the goal celebration. There were several injured, even some players carrying injured kids in their arms, but fortunately it looks like noone is seriously injured. The referee stopped the game until the fence is fixed and it tooked 30 minutes to re-start the game.

At this point, it looks like all the games will be stopped extra 30 minutes in halftime (for a total 45 minutes) so the second halves start at the same time.

Considering the scores, Osasuna needs Rayo and Valladolid to win their games. As this looks quite difficult, their only other chance is that Athletic beats Almería and they beat Betis by more than 3 goals.

Sad to see them go especially since their replacements won't be as competitive.

Betis and Osasuna always give the top sides a game and give a balance to the division.

This year Osasuna beat the champions 3-0 and drew with RM and Barcelona..Betis too is always a hard place to visit.

These sides will be missed and the promoted sides won't offer the same challenge...but hey, thats football!

Onwards and upwards.
