how was the weather in Madrid Kyo? ;)

back to the game,
this game IMHO would summorize up our season.. poor results, bad tactics, bad everything..
a 2-1 or a 2-0 win for Everton, we didn't manage to beat them with a full strengh squad at home earlier this season, therefore, I can't see us winning at Godison park without H & H...
but I still have that tiny glimpse of hope telling me that we somehow can do it..
heart wants a 1-0 win with Gerrard scoring,
logic tells me we'd be lucky to lose 2-1 or 1-0 ...
cheers mates...

The Liverpool team in full is:

Dudek
Carragher
Traore
Biscan
Riise
Murphy
Hamann
Gerrard
Heskey
Owen
Baros

Subs:
Arphexad
Smicer
Diouf
Smicer
Cheyrou

what do you think of Heskey in the midfield?

Gerard Houllier has named both Michael Owen and Milan Baros in his starting line-up at Goodison this afternoon, with Emile Heskey dropping back into midfield.

Danny Murphy returns to the team after recovering from a neck injury but there's no place for El Hadji Diouf who has to settle for a place on the bench.

Igor Biscan and Djimi Traore, as expected, are paired together in the heart of the Reds' defence.

Yes!!!! Come on U REDS!!!!

We play the Toffees for a laugh and left them feeling blue

Well done lads :) I could not watch the game but from what I gather Danny Murphy who is a sh*t footballer according to the world wide experts of this forum had a stormer.

Good thing we proved those who said we have nothing to play for either wrong. Some fans we have.

I would congratulate and praise you on a bloody good win but I don't want to ruin the myth that I hate you... :howler:

I don't know Dyertribe, I fancy us snatching your third place.

;)

*Joke*

Super Danny Murphy, the player most hate and would replace here, nets a superb winner against the small time bluenoses to put us back to having our CL destiny in our own hands.

Well done boys, and well done Danny Murphy in particular, bloody great performance today.:proud:

If not for our easy run-in you probably would :)

Yes! Massive win for us today! :fero: Well done lads, you didn't let us down!

Unfortunately I didn't have a chance in hell of getting tickets and it wasn't on TV over here so I had to make do with Radio Ctiy's commentary with Aldo. Sounded like we were poor at the start of both halves but got ourselves together and got going in the midway points.

Great goal from Owen and Murphy and we kept Rooney under control for the most part of the match. It could have been a blessing in disguise when Biscan got injured as we moved Carragher into the heart of defence and Diao came on as right back and had a great game by all accounts. I was just delighted that we managed to come back from conceding a penalty (3/3 matches) and we defended brilliantly at the end of the game despite not having H & H.

We're now fifth and results were brilliant for us today.

Blackburn in 7th lost 1-3 to Man Utd.

Obviously Everton lost, and we've overtaken them. :D

Chelsea lost suprisingly 1-2 against Aston Villa, we're just two points behind them now. That was a great result for us.

Newcastle also suffered a suprising defeat agaisnt Fulham at Loftus Road so they are within our grasp, just three points ahead of us and our GD is better.

Everton are playing Chelsea on Monday and hopefully they will get a win enabling us, with a win against Charlton at home, to climb into the CL spot.

Come on boys! :D

Here's a bit of perspective for you all .

An appaling season, yet with a bit of luck we could take 3rd spot, this comes after the team not picking up a win in the PL for 3 fecking months. 3 fecking months, just think what 2 or 3 wins in that period would have done, but no Houllier is a loser, we've had the worst season in living memory blah blah blah.

I suggest you go back and watch a tape of the team that Souness put out for us. Any one of those seasons are far worse than this one, without a shadow of a doubt.

Mind you some on here can't remember a souness side.

Not surprising at all... SJP is a hospital ward at the moment and Griff got stupidly sent off with half an hour to go - not to mention the whole soiree was in London.

Luckily we should get at least 10 points out of 12 from our remaining 4 games standing on our head:

Villa (home)
Scumderland (away)
Brummies (home)
West Brom (away)

Great win for us today,
as usual, I didn't watch the match, since I'm not suscribed in the network that covers the EPL over here,
but anyway, reading the match report was a delight ,
allhough we didn't have H & H, the defence apparantly looked great, against the likes of Hyper Rooney, Campbell, & the other Everton players,
and with Newcastle & Chelsea losing, this makes our fate in our own hands, just a little bit of luck, & we'd go to Stamford Bridge without being on pressure, in other words, be already qualified to the CL by then..

looking to our next game, Charlton has been a good team to play against when the CL mattered, I remember Owen scoring a hat-tricjk against them in the last day of the Treble season to garuntee CL football coming to Anfield the following season, & also last season when Owen scored a neat goal against them after the Levurkusen match, where he missed 3 easy chances, that goal (against Charlton) was more than enoughto shut his critics up, & help Liverpool gain confidence.
one World Cup final finished, 4 to go ;)

Hooray ! Great news !

Bloody ESPN didn't show the game here. They were showing the Manyoos and the Gunners. Pshaw !

Great to hear of the victory though. Carragher in the middle and I hear he didn't do too badly! Thats great ! And Diao as right back? I would have loved to see that ! And to think our defence held away to Everton without our H&H stalwarts...Priceless !Good to see Murphy do well. He has his shortcomings but definitely one of the standouts this season.

We have a great chance of sneaking into the CL if we can perform creditably in our remaining matches and if the other results go our way like they did today.

Erm, actually, we win our remaining games, we are in the CL. It is in our own hands, we don't need a helping hand, even though it would be appreciated:D
