He is the most dangerous right-back/winger there is ! Scoring 16 goals is just brilliant - forget about Roberto Carlos :D ;)

I hope to see him replacing Cafu in a 3-5-2-system if he keeps on playing like this, he is 22 years old so he can still mature his lack in defending which shouldn't be that good yet, but who cares ? :fero: :D

Mancine good things: Good stamina, control of ball, kicking potence, passing.
Mancine bad things: arrogance, lack of tatical mindset, bad defensive timing, head down, careless playing.
This arrogance is what stop him from development. Great in the offense, weak in the defense.

Yes, but considering his age, and the "bad things" you mentioned... well, almost all of these things can be improved with experience. He can work on that tactical mindset, and he can improve the defensive timing and the "head-down" through hard work.

Remember, Cafu used to be criticized for playing with his "head down" as well... ;)

Mancine has the potential to go very, very far. Let's hope he realizes that potential. :)

oh, no Doubt. Training can turn potential in reality and make the deficiecy be set aside in the name of the best qualities. The great players we had started that way then turned up after tireless training.

Just, Cafu meet a dude called Tele Santana a very rare trainer who cares in first place with the indivudual quality. That can make the world go around.

Let's see, I don't think that Cafu will keep on playing that long so there will be new players tested

Most possible candidates:

- Mancini (my choice)
- Rogerio (Ze da Fiel's choice)
- Maicon (our U23 right-back)
- Beletti :)rolleyes: )
- Leonardo
- Gabriel

Someone to add ?

*edit*

He didn't play much in Palmeiras, but he is in Sao Paulo for this season. Let's wait and see.
I still think that Daniel is excellent. I mean he is the best player of the U20 tournament IMO, and he is a lateral.

I saw on TV today Parreira saying that he will talk with Cafu, and if he can make it until 2006, he will make it to 4 consecutive finals!

GO easy on Mancine guys. Remember him in the pre-olumpic he was really good.... then his form went really bad and now he is playing good again. Let's give him some time to see if he is more balance and if he is a real thing, or if his form will drop badly again like it did in the past. I have my precautions with him!

Rafael,.
Leonardo has gonne to Sao Paulo were now he will probably play in his position...... gabriel will probably be benched!

Ronaldo
add

Leonardo
Gabriel into your list!

Ze, Mancine was so good in the pre-olympic that in the second game he lost the position to Baiano and never going to the Olympics game...
He is losing time also, trying to fight with Atletico-MG in the justice, stopping in the time, but he is very arrogant...

I agree, if Brazil had a game this month and Cafu wasn't available, the best man for the rightback would be Mancine - he was quite convincing in last year's Brasileiro. :)

Leonardo was frequently played out of position in Palmeiras, to accomodate Arce into the team. If he had stayed at Palmeiras he would probably get more playing time this year, since the Paraguayan left. But I understand him going to Sao Paulo, Palmeiras is a fecking mess. :D And as someone said, "it's just a matter of leaping over the wall".

Among the other guys Ronaldo2001 mentioned... I guess Rogerio and Beletti would be the other choices, they're both experienced and reasonably reliable. But Gabriel and Maicon aren't in the same level IMO.
