Good to see you again, Sigma O!

Canadian Soccer Association confirms:

"Canada’s Men’s National Team gets yet another game against strong opposition, as they’ll take on the Czech Republic in a Men’s International Friendly on 15 November (kickoff 17.00 local time) in Olomouc, CZE.

"The game will take place exactly a decade after the two nations last played each other. The last time the two teams met, the Czechs went onto beat Canada 5:1 with Tomasz Radzinski getting the only goal for Canada on 15 November 2003. At the time, Colin Miller was interim head coach for Canada.

"The Czechs are currently ranked 27th in the latest FIFA rankings and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil after finishing third in UEFA qualifying Group B behind Denmark and Italy."

is canada getting worse at soccer?
No, it is a total rebuilding stage and our way of thinking about and playing the game is being changed. It is going to be a rough road (with some poor results to be expected) but it has to be done.

Anyone who wants short term results like beating more of a minnow than us, just to score some goals and get a win just doesn't get it.

The guys have to play high level competition to gauge where they are and what they have to do to become competitive.

There's no questioning Floro's ability, we're finding out whether or not he has the horses to do what he wants to be done. That's why we're seeing a lot of the kids getting playing time, and while we still haven't scored, we've improved. One thing that definitely needs work is defending in our own third but aside from that it is better overall. Set pieces are better and eventually goals will come, I'm not worried about that. The biggest problem the players have is between their ears and under Floro that will improve.

There are now rumours of an Argentina friendly.
