one of the most heated classics of argentina, and for sure, the most popular, will be played next sunday in the stadio Monumental of river plate.

river in second position, 5 points behind the leader independiente, incredibly lost the last match against banfield 5 - 0.
on the other hand, boca won 2-1, but we had to suffer a lot to beat chacarita.

both teams most probable line ups:

RIVER,

-------------------COMIZZO

-GARCE----AYALA-----DEMICHELIS---ROJAS

--------------------ASTRADA
---GONZALEZ-------------------ZAPATA
-----------------DALESSANDRO

--------DOMINGUEZ-----CAVENAGHI/FUERTES

BOCA,

------------------ABONDANZIERI

-----SCHIAVI-----BURDISSO----CROSA

-IBARRA---------------------------------RODRIGUEZ
-------------BATTAGLIA--CASCINI

--TEVEZ----------------------------------DELGADO
------------BARROS SCHE/SOSA

Players to watch: in river, Dallesandro, chori dominguez and cavenaghi. most people alredy know this guys, but there are others like Lucho Gonzalez, a skillful right midfielder bought from huracan, who are starting to gain peoples attention.

in boca we have, tevez (the most promissing creative player in bocas squad), schelloto (back from a long injury, one of the last symbols of the bianchis era), delgado (this guy is reborn. after a frustated tranfer to europe, he is playing great, and not even the come back of schelloto will make him go out of the team), ibarra.

predictions: obviusly, the paternity will keep growing, BOCA WINS 2-1, goals by battaglia and tevez.

River were HUMILIATED by Banfield!! :) What a beating, they lost by 5-0 and the match was suspended coz of River's fans..It could probably have been even worse for River. Comizzo might miss the superclascio.

I predict River 1 Boca 2. I wouldn't be suprised if it finished as a draw either.

Admit it! all of you (bosteros) are bitter. Sosa was a flop and you won't see action in the Libertadores Cup next year.

DALE RIVER! TodavĂa podemos ganar el campeonato!

loco, do u remember a guy called, Juan Eduardo Esnaider. that guy who played for juventus, zaragoza, etc.
i think you do, and he absolutly fail in river. sosa at least has the opportunity to revert things.

btw, if we beat these gallinas we ll be in the second place. if independiente wins there will be an 8 point distance, but we still have to plat with them. and inde also has to play against san lorenzo en el nuevo gasometro.

And Fuertes has really been a hit this season hasn't he? lol

River are a spent force, and I tip Boca to win 2-0 with goals from Barros Schelotto (who is the classiest player in the league, in my opinion) and Marcelo Delgado

Well face it, today at 16.10 there will be a new "Dueño" at el Monumental. Actually La 12 will take over the place at least at 15.00

The expected lines up:

River: Angel Comizzo; Ariel Garcé, Celso Ayala, Martín Demichelis, Ricardo Rojas; Luis González, Leonardo Astrada, Víctor Zapata; Andrés D'Alessandro; Alejandro Domínguez y Fernando Cavenaghi.

Boca: Roberto Abbondanzieri; Nicolás Burdisso, Rolando Schiavi, Diego Crosa; Hugo Ibarra, Sebastián Battaglia, Raúl Cascini, Clemente Rodríguez; Carlos Tevez; Guillermo Barros Schelotto y Marcelo Delgado.

My guess is that El Chelo will give the "hens" the news.
There will be 1000 policemen, they can join the River-fans who will have to invade the pitch again to awoid totally humiliation.

Dale Boca

There is nothing better than beating River but beating River in 'El Monumental' gives every Boca fan even greater satisfaction!! :howler:

Delgado scored two beauties today and we are now tied for second place with River :D

BTW- I predicted that we would beat River by 2-1 a few days ago as u can read on this thread.

DALE BOCA!! CHAU GALLINAS!!

A great game! Too bad the 2 number 10s didnt do what were expected of them. Cavenaghi was totally invisible, thats why he was subbed.

Delgado was on fire! There were alot of fouls that should have got some booked. I think it was Cuevas who got lucky after making a really bad tackle.
