On Thursday at 20:00 Moscow time we lock horns with Torino trying to get our hands on a Competition we won back in 2008 under the former guise of the UEFA Cup.

Right now Torino are the form team in Italy, based on points if the League had started in January they would be top. They got the better of Athletic Bilbao over 2 legs in the last round whilst we got the better of the Dutch League Leaders PSV 4-0 on aggregate.

We are the highest ranked team left in the Europa League and currently occupy 16th in the European rankings.

Team news -

Hulk didn't start yesterday due to a virus but will almost certainly be back and start on Thursday, Lombaerts was on the Bench having recovered from injury, the big question here is does AVB drop Neto after him playing 3 matches in which Zenit have not conceded?

Any viewers in the UK, this match will be live on BT SPORT 1 at 17:00 GMT time.

Good result - A win and not conceding an away goal.

I'm expecting Zenit to win this match, Torino isn't so good on away.
Well we are the highest ranked team left in the Competition and the bookies have us down as the 3rd favourites to win the competition.

Our of our last 16 Europa League matches we have won 14, drawn 1 and lost 1 (the match we lost we had already won 4-1 away).

Here are our results.

Villareal W 1-0
Marseille W 2-0
Bayer Leverkusen L 0-1 (As said we had already won 4-1 away In the quarter final first leg)
Bayern Munich W 4-0
Suttgart W 2-1
Udinese W 1-0
Nacional D 1-1
Aek Athens W 4-2
Hadjuk Split W 2-0
Anderlecht W 3-1
Young Boys W 3-1
FC Twente W 2-0
Liverpool W 2-0
Basel W 1-0
PSV W 3-0

We should be able to win this tie.

Nearly sold out now, 588 tickets left, no idea how many Torino will bring but I've no doubt we will take at least 1000 fans to their place as we always do in Europe, I'm waiting for the first opposition to come to us with at least 500 fans in Europe! This is the line up I expect to play.

I see AVB not dropping Neto in favour of Lombaerts, it's very hard to drop Neto whilst the team are winning and not conceding goals. Plus, I don't know how close to full fitness Lombaerts is.

Here is the team, I was right in the weekend line up and the prediction - Zenit by 3 goals I predicted at the weekend and I also correctly predicted Hulk and Lombaerts wouldn't start, this time around, I am predicting Zenit win by at least 2 goals, it's vital it's a 2-0 rather than a 3-1. Danny way over-due a goal, he will be amongst the goals, Rondon in red hot form at the moment, 5 goals in his last 2 matches.

Lodygin
Criscito
Neto
Garay
Smolynkov
Witsel
Garcia
Shatov
Danny
Hulk
Rondon

Subs - Lombaerts, Kerzhakov, Arshavin, Tymoschuk, Ryzantsev and Mogilvets, not sure who the back up keeper will be.

Let's do this Zenit!

272 tickets left now, they will be gone tomorrow.

I didn't realise until earlier this morning our site also shows ticket sales for the away match, it showed 995 left earlier this morning for the Torino match and that is now down to 818, almost 200 away tickets sold today. I would hazard a guess we have been given 2000 tickets for Torino and we have already sold 1200. We took 4000 fans to AC Milan after all.

Watching Zenit the Kleber way.

Here is how our sprightly 64 year old Portugese super fans watches and comments on Zenit -

Whilst Zenit are 0-0, lambast any mistake a Zenit player makes, wether it's just a mis-placed pass or a missed chance, comment on the mistake, go the extra mile and say the player is useless or just blame it on AVB ala even when Russia were drawing, Kleber found a way to blame it on AVB. Yes that is not a joke, whilst Russia were drawing 0-0 at half-time, Kleber really did put the blame on AVB despite him not playing or managing Russia. Hell he wasn't even in the Stadium!

If Zenit concede, it doesn't matter if your own team are playing at the same time, stop watching your own team and come onto the Zenit forum and post at least 10 times about the goal and just stop watching your team altogether ala Leverkusen playing Zenit whilst Benfica were playing Monaco and Kleber posting 10 times whilst his team were in action against someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That situation is seriously fked up.

If Zenit score, just ignore the fact there has been a goal, if Zenit win with ease, stay away from the forum. Pretend it hasn't happened and wait until the next game, whilst the next game is 0-0, there is bound to be a misplaced pass or a missed chance and a player can be slated or take the easy way out and just blame AVB.

If Zenit beat your team (I.E. Zenit thrashed Benfica twice) after claiming millions times your team are better than Zenit, then do a runner, do not post on the forum whatsoever and just ride into the wilderness with your Pet Donkey Miguel, Pet Alsatian Dog Bukha and Pet Parrot Fayzuli. Simply do not acknowledge this match has ever happened.

Put on your signature you are a fan of Russian Sport but the reality is your fan of wanting Russian teams to lose in Europe. No emotion showed to celebrate any Russian team scoring but show emotion if the Russian team is not winning, ala Russian were losing to Anderlecht and just lambast the Dynamo manager as being useless and again, do not acknowledge any of the Dynamo goal as it would make you look really silly, saying the Dynamo Moscow coach is useless when they have won the game!!!

The Zenit and Russian way with Kleber Alfonso Oscar Ferreia Da Silva Farodonkeyrider age 64 from the Algarve.

Aaaaxel Witsel! 1-0! Torino was defending well so far, but they're nothing exceptional...PSV was a much better team, in my opinion...

2-0, FT. An easy win, without too much effort...there were periods in the game, that we were playing fantastic football...:)
P.S.: Garcia misses the second leg...

poor game by zenit,so erratic, the send off was decisive.

zenit should had done much more to get the third goal.

torino with a 0-2 still stays alive....the 0-3 would be the end of the tie.

so zenit still have to play with the best squad in italy with so many players on the verge of suspension.
