Some news I got from World Soccer News.

River Plate say Chievo Verona have made the best offer for their striker Victor Zapata.

The 23 year old had been a target for Parma AC but the player's agent is in Verona for talks this week with the Serie A club who have bid £4.5 million for the left winger.


Looks, like we stalled on the chance to sign him. Anybody know anything about this.

So with Zapata to Chievo we could get Manfredini...

OK well I know nothing about Zapata, but Manfredini is a player I like alot. He impressed me the most in the opening month of the season, along with Laursen at Milan & I'd be delighted to have him at Parma. A class act, most definetly.

I no absolutely nothing about Zapata and I don't think it would be wise to spend around £5m for him, if he hasn't really been tested in a big league. Manfredini impressed me a lot in what I have seen of him.

This player must be good if a club like Chievo are ready to spend £4.5 for him, I have seen him play a few times but I have seen nothing that the Chievo board have seen that makes me think he is worth so much.
