If its up to you to select a 23 German player for the world cup, who would it be?
Mine are the following:
GK: Kahn, Lehmann, Butt
DF: Kehl, Baumann, Linke, Ziege, Rehmer
MF: Ballack, Hamann, Jeremies, Frings, Ricken, Ramelow, Schneider, Moller, Bohme, Asamoah
FW: Klose, Neuville, Brdric, Bierofka, Bierhoff

I left out Janker, Bode, and Metzelder.
Janker did not score for a long time, Bode is not up to the world cup, and Metzelder costs goals with his mistakes.

MF: Ballack, Hamann, Jeremies, Frings, Ricken, Ernst, Schneider, Böhme, Asamoah, Möller
FW: Klose, Neuville, Max, Bierofka, Bierhoff/van Lent

Ernst, Balitsch, Seitz, Lottner (no joke - in the current situation I'd see him as a good alternative in the attacking midfield) I'd also like to see in the team, but unfortunately we're not allowed to call up more than 23 players
