Hagi once admitted that he simply took many attacks against him very personal and therefore lost his temper...

in the heat of the battle he didn't approach the game like a professional but like a fighter

Austria easily... although Austria lost many games they have a huge tradition and normally a quite competetive team... they may not be technical but boy they do have heart and a fighting spirit... more discipline than most EE countries

Romania without a doubt. I still like the argentinian NT but i´m only passionate about Romania. Actually the only time i watched Romania live it was in a friendly in 98 vs Argentina, and then it was already clear to me which team i prefered.

I don't undestand that....How is that possible. You are Argentinian.
Argentina is such a passionate nation especially about their soccer...Personally I am flattered you like us so much but I do not understand it...

Anyways, to you :smileani:

Well yeah, and with the Argentine history I'm surely shocked too.

Hagi is the king, and he brought millions of fans from all over to Romanian football.

Maybe Mutu will do the same this Euro 2008.

Unforgettable. The trick Hagi does before assisting Radu on the first is amazing. He did everything that day.

I´m an argentinian but i´m not a nationalist. I´ve never liked such divitions. I love my country in many ways but i also dislike many others, and i never felt compelled to support everything related to my country. I feel i have a special bond with Romania, and being something i partly chose, i consider it more valuable:)

My personal favorite is Holland 0-0 Romania. Not only the fact that I was at the game, but that it set the tone for the rest of the campaign. It also was the game that made us believe we could stand up and play with the big nations and get results. Especially a team that tormented us in the WC 2006 Qualifiers. In the 6 years I've followed Romania that was the most positive and groundbreaking moment I had ever seen, and it was better being there.

games you have seen live in the stadium are always more special, i loved for example our 2:1 away win against Slovenia. the mood between the rom. supporters was great and even if Nicolita can't play football too well, he is such a likeable guy. i was really happy for him when he scored the 2nd goal and especially because of how he celebrated it. you can just see how much heart he has for the NT.

The second goal just showed why Hagi was a class above Ronaldinho.

effortless, and deadly from anywhere, wow.

It really is though, and consistant with it, like he can time and place the ball with a soft shot.

So difficult to do consistantly, it's brilliant, Hagi was brilliant.

he had a very unique way to treat the ball... especially his shots show it... you see sometimes shots like that from the odd footballer but nobody did it as intentional as he did

PMC, I know exactly how he does it, it's just a float needing a soft touch, well directed.

but the WOW factor in it is that he got it not just on target, but close to going in every time..

And from 40 yards to put the perfect weight onto it is one thing,
but with preasure, reading the GK's position from that far out is even more unbelevable.

If you watch him, before he floats it, he reads where the keeper is, and he places it far enough so he can't claim it.

he puts great weight into his shot, along with a perfect float/touch to make it do what he wants.

It's something one could only wish to master.

hmmm... I think he wasn't as gifted with both... with the right one he was only capable of "lobbing" but only for close distance ones... he needed the power from the left to striker from far out

also he had a very strong shot as well... thats what baffled me even more... shots where ball seems to hit a bird in the sky but it suddenly goes down... with this trick he was able to lob goalkeepers on the LINE :googly:
