I was reading this biased English magazine, the other day about footy, and they came up with a great idea about assessing the premier clubs with school reports card this is how it goes.

IN DETENTION- This means your clubs worst player this season
TEACHER'S PET- This means the best player this season for your club
GREATEST RESULT- Best win for your club
WORST RESULT- Worst loss for your club
WONDER KID- The young school kid who is really clever and moves up to college straight away type, so your clubs young prodigy, if you have one
OVERALL GRADE- The grade that you think your club deserves, and try to be realistic please!


So here are mine for Valencia
IN DETENTION- Helguera, Cant defend at all, so he deserves to be in detention everyday
TEACHER'S PET: David Villa, for scoring 18 goals in the la liga, same as Raul, considering how crap we have been playing this season!
GREATEST RESULT- Valencia 5-1 Levante
WORST RESULT- Barca 6-0 Valencia
WONDER KID- Mata!!! Absolutely amazing made us win the worthless Copa!
OVERALL GRADE- Now we finished 10th despite heavy defeats every now and again, we flirted with relegation for a while, but we managed to win the copa del rey and qualify for UEFA, So i give Valencia a E+,
Because we are a big club and that is terrible maybe if we were meant to qualify for UEFA AND IF WERE A MID-TABLE CLUB THEN I WOULD HAVE GIVEN them a higher grade.

Fenerbahçe S.K.

IN DETENTION- Mateja Kežman, mostly unlucky, and Selçuk Şahin who's simply a sorry excuse for a footballer (think of the most uncoordinated footballer you can, and have him think he has the technique of Zidane, and you'll get the idea).

TEACHER'S PET- Deivid

GREATEST RESULT- Greatest result was probably a loss, 3-2 away to Sevilla, because in the end it went to penalties and Fenerbahçe won a place in the Champions' League quarter finals.

WORST RESULT- 1-0 away to Galatasaray, clubs were on equal points and a draw would've meant the title. Lost the match and the title.

WONDER KID- Gökhan Gönül, UEFA.com even done a write up on him labelling him the 'Turkish Cafu'. This kid was playing in the second division last season.

OVERALL GRADE- B+ . Great season in the CL with an adequate league performance, though definitely should've won the title. Cheated out of the Cup by a referee, so that's not taken into consideration.

IN DETENTION- Dida, simply horrible, for someone who was in top 5 keepers in the world not so long ago.
TEACHER'S PET- Kaka, best offensive player we have.
GREATEST RESULT- 2-1 over inert, 4-2 over boca.
WORST RESULT- too many to mention.
WONDER KID- Pato, the potential to be the best scorer in Milan history.
OVERALL GRADE- E, bad signings, injuries, inept tactics, and failure to quality for CL. Cup wins are scant consolidation.

IN DETENTION- Bosko Balaban - scored only 11 goals, in constant fight with fans

TEACHER'S PET- Luka Modric

GREATEST RESULT- Ajax 2 - 3 Dinamo

WORST RESULT- Brann 2 - 1 Dinamo

WONDER KID- Luka Modric

OVERALL GRADE- 6/10, we flopped in Europe but won double title. We finished 4th in pretty easy group. On other hand we earned 61 mil € on transfers.

IN DETENTION- a difficult one... possibly Dica considering his immense talent
TEACHER'S PET- Goian
GREATEST RESULT- our victory against CFR Cluj
WORST RESULT- Praha in the CL
WONDER KID- uhh... the closest would be Dayro Moreno probably since the rest is out on loan
OVERALL GRADE- F+ - 2/10

GREATEST RESULT- Inter 1-2 Juve

WORST RESULT- Napoli 3-1 Juve

Hajduk Split

IN DETENTION - Hmm tough competition for this spot, but i think Goran Rubil jut edges it. Unbelievably useless player
TEACHER'S PET - Realistically its Nikola Kalinić. Had a great 1st half of the season, but fell into averageness in the 2nd half.
GREATEST RESULT - There were no good results for Hajduk this season. There were only expected results and flops.
WORST RESULT - Tough competition. I'd say Rijeka - Hajduk 4:0 as they really destroyed us throughout the entire game. Varteks - Hajduk 4:0 was another bad result but we weren't as bad in that one as the result suggests. They had an awesome 10, 15 minutes but in the rest of the game we were dominant and we finished the game being at least equal to them in every category but the finishing one. Thats why I picked Rijeka game. There they outclassed us for the entire 90 minutes.
WONDER KID - Nikola Kalinić
OVERALL GRADE - Realistically? Think of the lowest grade possible and go even lower than that. Horrible season. Thank god its over. Sadly the next one doesn't look promising either. OK so we didn't get relegated and we managed to get into UEFA Cup next season, but finishing 5th in weak Cro league with a record 30 point deficit compared to Dinamo Zagreb is a disaster for a club like Hajduk.

IN DETENTION Hard to pick a single player. I'd say Blazek in goal, Reinhardt & Schmidt in the defense, Galasek in midfield and Saenko & Kennedy in the attack.

TEACHER'S PET Zwetschge Misimovic; He was the light in an awful team.

GREATEST RESULT Nürnberg 2-1 Alkmaar & Nürnberg 5-1 Frankfurt; Two results because of the two competitions and two totally different forms.

WORST RESULT The rest The worst was the home draw against Bielefeld 4 matchdays before the end. 2-2 after a 2-0 lead. A win in that game and we would have saved our ass, but so Bielefeld plays in the top tier next season.

OVERALL GRADE E- in the league; satisfactory in the Uefa Cup
