I've got to agree with Rjaakard's point there. Felipao has done the right thing for the team really when you think about it by taking the experienced Juninho Paulista over Kaka. Kaka will be there for the Copa del mundo of 2006 but Paulista has the experience that we so desperately need. :)

I've also been hoping that Juninho Pernambucano gets one of those open spots since Romario won't get it. :depress::cry:

Guys,

i think you should select your dream team only from the pool of players with a chance of making the Selecao next month. I mean Mauro Galvao, Cesar (GK) come on.

My team would be:

R Ceni
Lucio, Edmilson, Juan/Junior
R. Carlos, Emerson, ronaldinho,Kaka,Cafu
Rivaldo, Ronaldo/Luisao/Franca

My Selection

Well, if I stick to the guys who are being called up currently, I'd choose:

Rogerio Ceni;
Lucio, Anderson Polga/Edmilson, Juan;
Cafu, Emerson, Kleberson, Ronaldo Gaucho, Roberto Carlos;
Ronaldo and Rivaldo.

I'm using the 3-5-2 because it's what we've been using, and IMO even if Scolari dropped dead tomorrow (knock on wood) we should stick to the system. There is NO MORE TIME for tactical changes! Let's stick to the program and make it work!

If I had the power of decision I'd have called Ze Roberto, Juninho (from Lyon) and Amoroso last year. They would have been in the group for a longer time. So it would be possible to field what I believe would really be the best eleven:
Rogerio Ceni;
Lucio, Anderson Polga/Edmilson, Juan;
Cafu, Emerson, Ze Roberto/Juninho PE, Ronaldo Gaucho, Roberto Carlos;
Ronaldo and Amoroso.

If we tried the 4-4-2, it would be:
Rogerio;
Cafu, Lucio, Juan, Roberto Carlos;
Emerson, Juninho PE, Ze Roberto/Kleberson and Ronaldo Gaucho;
Ronaldo and Amoroso.

Yes, Rivaldo would not be my starter, as he never performed well enough to merit an automatic starter position. He would be a valuable reserve, and would be given chances, but that's it. Amoroso and Juninho are excellent and their absence from the group is a mistake. But it's too late to complain: the coach has a system, a selected group and changing our course now would be the greatest mistake of all. Let's support Brazil! ;)

Billi,
We base our opinions on what we see. If Felipao sees another thing that is his problem, as no one can really realte for him not seeing Romario's goals. And TODAY Julio Cesar is among the TOP 3 in Brazil, not TOP 4!

Patrick,
In 1958 Brazil took a 17 year old kid that was unkown in the whole country, only in Santos had people knowns about a certain Pele....then eveybodoy knows what happened. In 1970 we took a 16 year old called Edu. And in 1994 we took a 17 year old with a lancky body that was a bit of a retard and his name was Ronaldo!:eek: :tongue: ;) So again, age does not matter when there is TALENT!

Would Maradona have done that criminal foul on Batista had he gonne to the 78 World Cup??? Probably not!;)

This was in 1966, mate. He was 20 when he went in 1970. I think he is still the yongest ever to have represented Brazil.
