U17 World Cup in Nigeria 2009

Germany
Mario Götze (Borussia Dortmund, AM/SS, 03.06.1992)

Netherlands
Luc Castaignos (Feyenoord, ST, 27.09.1992)
Shabir Isoufi (Feyenoord, AM, 09.03.1992)

Argentina
Daniel "Keko" Villalva (River Plate, ST, 06.07.1992)
Sergio Araujo (Boca Juniors, ST, 28.01.1992)

Nigeria
Sani Emmanuel (My People, ST, 23.12.1992)

Spain
Marc Muniesa (Barcelona, CB, 27.03.1992)
Iker Muniain (Athletic, ST/Wing-forward, 19.12.1992)
Borja González (Atlético de Madrid, ST, 25.08.1992)
Koke (Atlético de Madrid, DM/CM, 08.01.1992)
Isco (Valencia, AM, 21.04.1992)
Pablo Sarabia (Real Madrid, Winger, 11.05.1992)

Uruguay
Sebastián Gallegos (Atlético de Madrid, LW/ST, 18.01.1992)
Diego Polenta (Genoa, CB, 06.02.1992)
Gonzalo Barreto (Lazio, Winger, 22.01.1992)

Brazil
Neymar (Santos, ST, 05.02.1992)
Coutinho (Inter, on loan to Vasco, AM, 12.06.1992)

Italy
Mattia Perin (Genoa, GK, 10.11.1992)
Lorenzo Crisetig (Inter, DM/CM, 20.01.1993)
Giacomo Beretta (Milan, ST, 14.03.1992)

I'd say El Shaarawy (Genoa, ST) and Lennart Thy (Werder, ST) could make the list as well, though I was dissapointed by the first one who didn't show much in the U17 Euros nor in the U17 World Cup.

There's a lot more talents from the 1992-generation though, I'm too lazy to list them at this point though. Btw, Millwall, it's Atlético, not Athletico. I'll list the club's own talents and some Serbian prospects when I've got the will to do it, this'll do for now :)

Thiago Alacantara is arguably a better prospect than both JDS and Gai.

Am I missing something or you've actually forgot to mention any of the Swiss players that have actually won the trophy?

Ramon Azeez from Nigeria was also very good in that tournament.

I have tried to leave the list to more established players as we have no idea how this youngsters are going to turn out.

I do have a few tweaks to my list, and I agree I should reevalutate it to include Thiago.

As well as that young Nigerian at Hamburg and Ghanain at Madrid, I just cannot remember there names.

Definitely forgot about the Swiss players, took it for granted that I had already written them up. Made the list as fast as I possibly could, was in a rush unfortunately.

Benjamin Siegrist (Aston Villa, GK)
Frédéric Veseli (Manchester City, CB)
Haris Seferović (Fiorentina, ST)
Nassim Ben Khalifa (Grasshopper CZ, AM)

A mention to Xhaka and Hajrović who I liked.

Sorry, I have accidently posted this before I was done completing it. Leinad I have made the age to be under 20 so Ozil is extempt.
ah ok, my mistake.

Anyways, I have a hard time with such lists.

There are so many great youngsters out there and who is REALLY able to judge them?
We are talking about at least some hundred players which would be candidates for such a list.
That's why such lists often end up to be about popularity.
In the case of germany I see that T. Müller is in that list. Well he did have his breakthrough at Bayern but he isn't really a "special" talent, there would be plenty of other ones I'd rather throw in there.
And Zuculini in a top20, seriously? He had rather weak games so far for Hoffenheim, isn't a regular and overall outshone by many other younger players this season.
Not saying that most of them aren't great talents but rating them in such a way?
Its already hard enough with players that have finished their career but with talents which could hardly show anything so far its kinda a stretch.
Such rankings only lead to useless discussions and I wouldn't dare myself to make one.

That's why I usually prefer it if you only list the best talents by country.

What is so funny about me saying him as the best young player in the world at the moment. Who would you rate as better?
Sorry, didn't see that these are your favourites. Thought it was from some magazin or something.

Name a betta playa out of that list :spank:
Bojan is clearly better.
This season Pato hasn't been that good IMO.
But your right, from this list he's still one of the best.
How old is he btw.?
Does he have chances to play in the WC? Especially now as Ronaldinho is in good form again?
