Sth like that was probably their best line-up last year, I doubt they ever lined up like that though. They didn't have Cocu and Alex who have improved their defense immensely, also their goalkeeper is better this year (IMO, I never really rated Waterreus very highly).

The biggest difference is the use of a 3 man midfield, which has allowed van Bommel to move forward more. In hindsight it was a very bad move by Barcelona to let Cocu go, a transfer that has been instrumental to PSV's success this year.

I've made a few corrections.

Throughout most of last season our best team wouldv'e looked something like this -

keeper: Waterreus
defence: Bogelund - Ooijer - Bouma - Lee
midfield: Rommedahl - van Bommel - Vogel - Robben
attack: Kezman - Vennegoor of Hesselink

But in the second half of the season Rommedahl's form dropped, and he was also injured during this period I believe. So Park played on his position. We also played with Park in the attack with Kezman quite a number of times because Vennegoor wasn't as good last season as he is this season. Also John de Jong started a lot games either in attack, or on the wings. Or even in the centre. van Bommel missed quite a big chunk of last season because of an injury.

I think Bazman's line-up is pretty correct, but since it's his fav club what kind of supporter would he be if he wouldn't know this
