Women football at Werder

From next season on Werder will also have a women soccer team.
The woman team will start in the 4th German league, coach
will be former women BL coach Frank Schwalenberg (coached FSV Frankfurt).
Schwalenberg:"I have worked since many years as women coach.
To coach a team from my home town is an interesting challenge for me."
Stadium will be the one of Werders cooperation partner
TuS Schwachhausen at the Konrad-Adenauer-Allee.
Birte Brüggemann will be responsible for the youth teams,
the Werder B-youth (younger 17 years old) will propably play
in a boys league, because in Bremen there aren´t many girls teams.
She says:"This is a perspective for women football in Bremen.
It will boost the performance of the good local players.
The whole women football in Bremen will profit from it."

(German source)
Interesting project, keep my fingers crossed for the girls. :)
Beware, Frankfurt an Potsdam, the green-whites are coming. ;)

It's getting more and more professional, in Holland there are very serious talks about a professional competition, FC Twente started an academy already, probably there are soon many to follow, and who knows next season a professional league will be there in Holland.
