We haven't made proper winter signings since Adriano and Stankovic back in January 2004, and our team was a mess then. We're stable now, no need for signings midway through the season - barring an emergency situation of course..
Only Crespo should leave, everyone else is needed.

Not with all the injuries we pick up, no way. We'd run out of players by March.
Rivas may not play again this season so we're definitely not letting go of anyone in defence.
Who would Jose let go of from midfield? I can only think of Dacourt. But he's an experienced guy who is contet on being back-up. I see no reason to offload him midway through the seaon, really.
May be Obinna, though.. (on loan, hopefully)

I admit I haven't watched as many games this season last the last, but we keep talking about trimming down the squad, even though only a hand full of them that are quality material, barring the fact that not many can withstand the long season ahead of us. I feel that the gap between our star player and their replacements are too great for the team to be consistantly formidable in the CL. Cambiasso and Ibra comes to mind. We have a handful of second rated players, but none that are truely reliable.
Jimenez needs to come back asap before we can say we need no new comers. The creativity is horrendous and relying on ibra, an unsettled RQ and an inconsistant Mancini is quiet disastrous.
Dacourt is utility at best; Stanko's loyalty has been rewarded with many chances and he proves to be no more than a bench option. Vieira won't last the entire season; crespo has lost it all together, Figo can teach RQ a thing or 2 but is he's far from being the solution. We rely very heavily on Cambiasso and when he's not on the field, we have lost the bite in midfield. Appiah is welcomed if he can still perform after that injury he succumbed.
Lets see what Mourinho can do when we have a full squad, but in my opinion as of now, we need to add depth and creativity both on the bench and the starting lineup.

Hmm personally I'd only let go of Crespo in Jan. Adriano can't be trusted, he can get in trouble with Mourinho any time and bang, we're stuck with only Zlatan, Balotelli and Obinna for 4/5 months. Cruz can join his old friends at the end of the season if he wants to. And he still has a role to play with Inter - Cruz gave us 2 points against Lecce and 1 against Anorthosis. 2 goals only but worth a lot.

what with all the Gobbi-killings ...
but it;s time to bring in the new blood
Balotelli played regularly will score just as many (prob far more) goals than Cruz AFAIC

Consider Crespo is not needed.
I'd Rather Adriano to go than Cruz.
Adriano used up valuable match times that can make team mates click into the system.
The 424 wouldnt appear, if he had been playing, I think.
He is not only a liability to himself, his position and to the whole setup.
Cruz is reliable and wouldnt make shock dissapearance.

roud: Anywhoo, I doubt anyone disagrees with regards to Balotelli being ahead of Cruz in the pecking order - that's the way it should be, at least. Balotelli adds more mobility and he's one for the future of this team. Cruz, as much as I love him, is what..34?
Cruz as back-up, til the end of the season, is fine. Then we can bring in Acquafresa as a replacement after his loan at Cagliari ends.
God knows whether Adriano will fix himself up or not - this season is his last chance.
