Fiorentina (Corvino) get better value for money, including ChL money, that's for sure.

Though they wouldn't gather as much from ChL as Milan would being a smaller club.

I'm happy because Fiorentina would not have competed in the CL. They should wait 1-2 seasons at least.

It would be hard for them to be less impressive than Milan was this season.

...and they'd get better value for money, even if they - in absolute terms - would generate less imcome from the competition than the Milan giants.

Galliani and Berlusca deserved being keelhauled in the UEFA Cup for a season, imo

Whereas Fiorentina, sadly, now seem to have been "penalised" for taking their UEFA Cup duties seriously

I see your point, but at the same time there's a danger of simply "maintaning status quo", which I'm not supporting unconditionally.

It's not as if Fiorentina would likely be the next Lazio or Udinese in ChL.

They have far more ressources and did show a great run in the UEFA Cup, impressively beating ChL-material like PSV.

On the other hand Milan were quite awful, including in the ChL.

Come to think of it, it would probably be the best for Italian football to just forbid Inter from entering the CL

Inter at least put up a fight - but were penalised by refereeing - against a ChL expert.

Clearly it is not over, but Milan does have the momentum on their side.

Torino away isn't an easy game either for Fiorentina, especially not if Torino haven't secured safety (away against Livorno) in the penultimate round.
