Why do teams lay down and die when they play Man Utd?

Just look at the De Goey blunder and you kind of feel something is very wrong.

Funny you should say that, cause i was thinking exactly the same thing the other day when i was watching Saturday's highlights. When teams go to Old Trafford it sometimes seems that they go there with the mentality that they have already lost the match (see comments of Harry Redknapp + Peter Reid after getting caned there)and are fearful of attacking them. But what Real Madrid showed the other night was that if you attack Man Utd, they are vulnerable - give them too much respect and they will walk all over you. So for the sake of English football, lets hope that more teams next year decide to attack Man utd and we might have a closer title race.

just been watching man /chelsea and it's true many teams are scared of the prospect of facing them...

man utd just has something most other teams don't have..tremendous team spirit but above all a terible self-confidence in themselves and that they could crush any opposition..
while their opponents are just the other way round...

we're getting that team spirit now and if Gh brings in a few more players and sticks them al together ..then we can challenge them for gd..

In fact the only three games they played badly in the past three months were against Newcastle (L 0-3), Liverpool (VERY LUCKY to D 1-1) and Real (L 2-3).

At the rate they are going they may really score 100 goals in the Premiership, which is a disaster.

Can anyone sense another 4-0 victory (etc over Watford coming up? I can you know. Feel sick when I think of it.

Personally I'm glad Chelsea lost to the Mancs.
It means that if we beat them it will guarentee us a european spot next season, and that is our first aim, then securing 2nd is the next task.

I agree. the last thing that we wanted was Chelsea to be in with a shot when they faced us. We need to win all our games I reakon.

If we win all we have left to play I think we'll just snatch 2nd spot from the Arsenal.
We do however need a big win, maybe Bradford last game if they are already down?
