Gazzetta has it as a certainty that he will join Milan on a free transfer after this season.

If it's indeed true- he is clearly not a fantastic player, but he is usually "usefull". Being "free" is obviously a plus too.

Apart from that- a defensive recruit or two and some consistency (less injury problems for one) should in itself insure that Milan will get a better season next year. Ancelotti or no Ancelotti.
