When do you guys see the BIHPL improving to a good level?

I think we agree that we definetley create very talented players but there are many things not going our way for now.

Of course the conflict in the early 90's ruined a lot of things, backtracked everything and simply destroyed the function of everything (forget about fudbal). That conflict killed many players, many had to move abroad, and for those that wanted to get into fudbal, it ruined their chance. It ruined the whole organization from top to bottom. Now the league is so poor that players that are any good will not want to play there...making it stay at that poor level. For example, be nice that a kid like Ibisevic could play in BIH , but its not any help to him since it would not be that competetive for him. (plus he can get paid better somewhere else)

So, when do you see things improving? what level could our clubs get to?

Money is pretty important for everything so I dont see things greatly improving till there is more. However, for things to get abit better, I think we need some more time. We need a whole new generation to grow up, we need to get more soccer schools build, stadiums, etc

what do you guys think?

i think that the league has potential but is not fullfilling it...
ofcourse more money needs to be pumped into the sport but the general situation in BiH needs to stabilise a bit more. Our infrastructure is aged, people in charge are corrupt, fans are spoilt and have too much expectation. One thing that needs to be done is to reduce the number of teams in the PL to 14 and then eventually to the ideal 12. The less clubs there is the more talent you will see. There will be no Brotnjos, Djerzelezezs and Ugljeviks to be used as goal difference sponges. One other thing that is really bad is the qiality of the referees and the darn officals who will sell a game for big screen TV.

In short many things need to happen before we see any marked improvement!!!

- Money (key to everything)
- Better marketing (Sarajevo and Zeljo havent even updated their websites for 1-2 years)

It would be good for the PL if we qualify for Germany06, NSBiH get some millions then (millions they gonna use to buy new desks, chairs, computers, doors, windows and cars to the NSBiH ppl but anyway)

When the organization and money get's into our league and clubs I believe that can happen with some time when our country has moved more forward:)

The thing with our country is that it doesn't live many people so it's more importent to make young kids involved in football from there early ages, so a huge improvement must be maked by our league clubs and NSBIH to build pitches, make clubs for all footballers in all ages and to take care of the footballers so they don't move aboard as soon as possible.

The other thing is money, probaly something all clubs in BIH needs...the thing now is that as soon some talent get's a bid the clubs automatic sell them simply because they need the money even if it isn't much . The other thing is that the stadiums need to be improved so that football can be more attractive and for that we need money.
Also more money must be given to players so that we can keep them in the league.

We defintly have talented players so money, training facilities and organization is all we need to improve tough I don't know when this will happen..hopefully soon :hopefull:

Money is certainly no. 1 on the list. That's a given. But you can't just conjur it out of thin air.

Aside from money, coaching and grass roots play a vital part. The kids in the region are very good when compared to other countries in their age group, but what happens to the youngsters that show promise?

We see it everywhere. The reason why I say not always is because you can make a great player out the BiH league as is. It's a very young league and some rivarlies are only being realised now. With good coaches and development on a team by team basis, you will see more exports and a stronger BiH National Team..making for a more competitive league when other youngsters break through. You'll always lose the best players at season end though...it's a cycle all of the countries in the region are affected with.

honestly I'd rate the BiH league as equal or slightly better than the Croatian second division.
Organization is important, every season you basically see a different squad, a team changed managers very frequently and I'm not sure if this is a problem in the BiH league but some of these matches are decided before they even start.

But the NT is improving which is very good.

well maybe not the best example to go by but the recent friendly...GOSK who only have two wins all season only lost to the top club in BiH (Zrinjski) 1-0. Maybe not the best example to use because it was a test match but I've seen it compared to the 2.HNL a few times.
