Well, we are into the 'return rounds' of the league now and UEFA cup will soon restart, how do you fancy our chances in both competitions?

Do you think we can win both? or do you think we should dump the UEFA cup and concentrate on winning the league? or the other way around?

Personally I think we should go for both! We have enough depth IMO to do it especially with Fabio Aurelio coming back. We have cover for every position and we showed that against Malaga. Perhaps Aimar is a bit too important for our play but we have shown that we can coup without him, like against Malaga.

The one thing that I would hate would be losing out on both after going close to winning it.

I say both ´cause it would be just a lame excuse saying that UEFA Cup hampers our changes in the league campaign since Real and Depor also have CL to "worry" about! UEFA can also works as a morale booster for the league thus it could also downsize it!

PS: Glad to see you still have some time to post MoMo! And Lazio won:cool:!

Yeah, to win nothing this season is what I really hated. To me the UEFA cup is not essential. The league title matters most to me. I'm hoping for more RM slip ups so that we can win the league with ease.

Actually, I regard Champion League as more important to the league as we have not win the C.L before. Just twice runner-up.

I hope a smaller team can win the league and humiliate Real Madrid and Barca.

Valencia and Depor represents the best chance.

Is Valencia still considered a small team?

Valencia has to go for both. They have a great chance to win both even without a bonafide striker. Their defense is just too good and that is what makes the difference. Thier attack is Aimar dependent. If Aimar is in shape though the crucial games, then Valencia has almost all the tools to win.

Madrid, even with their weakness at defending, is still a large favorite to win La Liga. Their attack is lethal, they don't need many chances to to score and make you pay for your every mistake.

I think that Valencia is the favorite to win the UEFA Cup and will come in second to Madrid in La Liga. But they will put 100% effort into winning both.

Nice Poll and discussions MoMo.

i have doubt about their strikers.
they had two easy victory in a row more or less because they had their opponents sent off.

umm...i don't think so.
imo, none of them is irreplacable. as you know, valencia a team depending mainly on teamwork, but not personal performance.
missing one midfielder would not affect too much proved from last two games.

years ago, valencianistas worried about missing out lopez and mendieta two engines of yours. but now you see they run so well without them.

Their domestic league title is more precious as compared to the uefa cup....I ould hope for valencia to be address as the "spanish champion" again next season:D

Wouldn't mind if they ended up with nothing, whats most impt to me is that they gave their best shot. Losing due to other aspects other than lack of commitment is ok to me.
Was really proud of their last CL match against inter.

100% agree.
I really admire their teamwork culture. Deportivo is another one.

Getting the title "that" way will not benefit them in the long term....

The results of the poll which you have posted had already proven it.
Do you think they care much about it? They are doing this the whole life, this is not new, perhaps new for Valencia (in the last 5 years), but not for us... but we were the provincialist, the anti-Spanish, the victimist, etc. València... welcome to the club.

I just hope that the ref in the Valencia - Barça is good. I fear that the refs want to balance the attack to Valencia next weekend. :depress:

Thats quite true.

But if they are going to do that to ALL clubs, I do worry for their popularity in the future.

I am not too concerned about how proud madrid fans out there can get, they can boast all they they want, whats impt is we ourselves all know best who 's the Real loser.
Those 'match fixing stuff' are beyond our control....as you have said, the "network" is already long well established long time ago.
What we can do is just vent abit in forums like this.

Nevertheless, the coming clash between barca n valencia would certainly be a highlight. Hope its a "clean" one with no biasness.
what you mean by your last statement? Compensate us at the expense of barca.......possible but i certainly do not hope so

They don't care about this, they know that in 3 or 4 years the only thing that will be recalled is that they were the champions (if they finally win).

As you say, I fear a bad referee in Mestalla that try to fix the mistakes of the Bernabeu, becoming Barça the victim. I wish not, but those matches are always full of tension, it's a classic, and Mestalla will be very angry since the begining. That wouldn't be the best way to solve the problem.

Let's see.:)

Hi everyone;

I'm not sure about the league title since what happened during the real match made me think

But I am sure that Valencia is the biggest candidate for the UEFA cup, and it's an honor for Besiktas (in my view) to be playing you.

If we can defeat you it will mean alot for us interms of proving our worth as a top quality team, and if we lose we know you're headed for the finals since your team plays admirable football.

Cheers.
