A view into 2009. (The doubtful future thread Vol.2) 
Only 2 weeks until Christmas and it seems we're out of the wood. What happens next? Do we really turn into a promotion candidate again?
The defense should get more stabilisation when Wolf comes back in January/February. At least I hope he's back at that time, until then the duo Maroh/Pinola seems to be ok. Maroh and Wolf could be our force towards the end of the season.

Judt as right back impressed me much more than Reinhardt in his last games, maybe a change can happen on that position as well. On the left back position we will see a battle between Bieler and Pinola. Right now I don't want Bieler going back on the bench.
Perchtold is good, but Mnari has shown more routine on Monday. If Mnari really stays with us (Skoda Xanthi seems to have made a poor offer and he wants to stay), this could be an interesting competition as well. Kluge has found his best position at the moment, with him in midfield we have the fighter and leader you need in that league. Mintal with the form from Monday is indispensable for the team, and he seems to flourish with the young guns Frantz and Eigler. Boakye wasn't that good as in the first half in Osnabrück, but ok, wh en other players have "their" day instead it doesn't matter.
What happens now to those players in the second row, our "problem players". It'll be interesting if someone leaves the team, and in that case, who will leave us in January. Engelhardt gets connected with the KSC, Harry with several Greek teams... we'll see.
New faces will be Stefan Reinartz (central defense) and Marcel Risse (midfield, winger) will put more (even) younger blood into the squad. Both come from Leverkusen on loan until 2010, perhaps they can also help us reaching promotion next year.
Four weeks ago such thoughts were really absurd, but now, although not everything is golden yet, we can look forward in an optimistic way.
We only have to worry if our team has no contact to forbidden substances.... -> avatar
