that Nigeria is out. I have nothing against Sweden and all respect for a solid result today but how can you not sympathize with Nigeria today, sooo many chances and nothing would go in. A fabulous solo run from Okocha and his finishing was horrible. And there were more times like this, with good finishing Nigeria could have scored several times. And yet they are already heading home. What a damn shame for a team so technically gifted and with the fantastic Okocha!!! :depress:

Sweden deserved the win. Coming back from a goal down shows MORAL and CLASS!

Beside Nigeria are technically gifted and they will always do well in less important tournaments like the Olympics as young players aren't that clever tactically wise.

Football on this level needs great tactics, skillfull players and luck and Sweden have that at the moment.

Wouldn't mind a Denmark-Sweden match up ;)

Nigeria deserved what they got. Sweden made their own luck... They played well and had the ball bounce their way.

It is easier to make an accurate analysis of teams following the second game.

Both teams that won today deserved their victory. And both teams that lost today can blame no one but themselves...

Contrast that with some games that were decided by the referees.

There is no shame losing to a better team

It is a shame that two teams from that group have to be eliminated and two teams from Japan's group have to advance to the second round:rolleyes:

Standing ovations :):proud::cool:

Goaless, you know what you're talking about :)

I also think it's a shame that such a skillfull and candy eye team to watch as Nigeria has to go home already :sigh:
But there's no doubt that both Argentina and Sweden deserved their wins against the Eagles.
But Nigeria has absolutly nothing to be ashamed of, this is after all the group of death and here in Sweden we were kinda worried we'd be the ones facing the fate that Nigeria are right now :stress:

But it'll be interesting to see other entertaining african teams like Senegal and Cameroon that actually are somewhat a mix of flying african football, and that also has taken a huge step towards european organisation on the pitch, thumbs up :happy:
