No, I am not a big fan of Guns N Roses:D Just an attempt to attract the attention of all you kids:D
My fellow Forum Managers (well, most of them now seems to have an office floor higher than me:rolleyes:  ......community manager, admins and what not:tongue: ) are seriously concerned about the activity (or rather the lack of it:() in this beloved forum of ours. Honestly speaking, this is the situation of the FMs here......
paw - one of the most dedicated posters of this forum feels he has been a failure in terms of bringing in traffic to this forum and wants to step down (That's what Razor and Raanan told me)
Raanan - he also tells me he is prepared to step down
Mindy - haven't talked to him about this yet
Me - well.....I don't want to step down whatever the circumstances. This position of FM of this forum means too much to me. But Raanan, paw and Razor says that I should either contribute to revive this forum or quit. I offered that I will be on probation for the next 2 weeks and see if I can do something, anything, to increase the level of activity in here.

SO.......
What I am hoping for isall of you to start becoming more active:angel: Take for example the match thread for tomorrow's match against Sunderland. Only 3 replies and game is just 24 hours away. Even worse, I have noticed that match threads are not at all opened until AFTER the game:eek: In the Inter forum, there are about 30 replies even before the game starts...even for matches against teams like Lecce. Come on.....we have as many posters as they do in the Inter forum. It's just that the people are not open enough in here. Be more vocal! Feel free to discuss. Start new topics. Let's make this THE place for Liverpool supporters. If any of you feel that you want to post poll.....just PM one of the FMs. We will be happy to post them for ya as long as they are relevant;)
Th problem with many of you is that you like to take part in discussions but few actually are willing to START discussions. I feel that is the primary reason this forum is dead. A handful no. of threads are opened and most posters are confined within those threads. Come on! COME ON! Liverpool is a massive club. We are among the top clubs in Europe and we certainly shouldn't have problems finding out topics to talk about.

Give some thought to what I said......:)
Remember, my job is on the line;)

This forum will never walk alone!

Come on!
Remember the days when the forum was in a frenzy, Liverpool was playing erm un-positive football then. Realistically, we need Liverpool to revive their most negative form. But of cos as a fan, this is too outrageous to ask for. I think it is us to us Forum Managers to revive the forum through other creative means. I shall fire the first salvo.
Well, I'm still around, though I don't post much anymore. And honestly, I don't think any of the FMs that we have in here could say that they have failed in making this forum an active one. You are all doing a great job!

I won't be worrying too much about the forum. I've been a member of XT for quite a while now, I've witnessed worse times than this, like when there was no new topic/post for one whole week (you know, the topic list was just blank!)...
And if there was a topic, it would be this twentysomething pages of thread titled "Macca Back To Pool?" (or something like that - can't remember exactly), which actually, was about what type of music do you like.

So, I guess, this forum is pretty okay for now. I kinda expect that this thing would happen anyway. Maybe when Liverpool won the CL next year, we'd have a lot of people again  :smileani:.
With so much to do everyday when I come on XT, it is difficult for me to stay on Liverpool forum for a long time. But I do contribute when I want to, make no mistake about that. Regarding creativity, I must say that I am lacking in that department, save for the numerous prediction leagues and all. I will be around, dun worry, but will not be contributing much in terms of many outputs.

paw;)
I know that I feel I can do a lot more to this forum but sadly I don't. Yes I do have other commitments on this site but I still think I can do more, so hearing things like that makes me feel less guilty, thank you Menul. :)

Paw you are one of the better writers and perhaps the most active among them. Feel no guilt. As for my FM position I am willing to step down and pass the torch to someone who really deserves it more if needed. A name like Yasir comes to mind :) (PS, I was told you want Man Yoo to win the CL, how can you?? :D)

That's it more or less, I guess Menul has a point in saying that it is natural. Still feel a bit dissapointed that in our best run in the league for years this place is a bit empty, but it warms my heart to see guys like Bosh and lskydiver trying to contribute, keep up the good work. :)
How come we stopped with the Liverpool Forum XI? That added a lot of activity to this forum :)

How come? I guess there were just too many scandals for the players to handle :D :D :D.

Mindy, my point is that there are at least 20 regular/irregualar posters and only 4 FMs in this forum (around 1/5th in that way). The FMs (in other words only 1/5th of the forum) cannot keep the forum active forever. Today, you started a nice thread. Another day Raanan or I will probably start another thread. But THIS is not enough. The non-FMs need to start discussions/topics too. I honestly think that the blame for less activity in a forum shouldn't be squarely blamed on the FMs. The non-FMs must participate enough.....people like B*O*S*H and eymc are fine examples:)
And restart the forum XI thingy again, will ya Mindy?;)
Well I was just talking to Utopia on MSN about this.. and there are so many factors that should be taken into consideration:

1. It's a WC YEAR!!! People are getting ready for it.. and that should tell us that the forums will be even more deserted during that time..

2. Other commitments?? well I can't say it's not true.. as it's typical since XT isn't our main job or hobby.. I mean.. I for one only post when I'm at work (Kinda shows how workaholic I am  ).. But I think each one of us spends some time on the net.. and well.. a little more contribution wouldn't hurt...

3. Recently, I've been forwarding EVERYTHING I find on the net about Liverpool.. reports, reviews, interviews, rumours.... why?? easy: A. Trying to beat Carson to the post
B. Trying to move things a bit..
So my plea would be.. if you see something posted.. just make a comment.. even if it's a small one.. it still counts.. Usually, I think we decide it's not that important to post something.. well do!! In the Roma forum.. I think they'd open a thread called "Totti took a dump" if they had an attachment to prove it.. !!

Anyway.. I'm TOTALLY against the stepping down of any of our FM's.. they have been excellent.. and I couldn't ask more of them.. (Raanan, we'll discuss the Man U thing later :D)

You traitor!!!!!!
I also wished good luck to Fred Elliot before the DLC 2nd leg - just as the final whistle blew in Leverkusen. Why?I'm no fan of MU obviously - but i don't HATE them, just the glory-hunters & arrogant/loud-mouthed "fans" they have.Oh and i'm not too fond of some of their players either:D .However, you see, the better english clubs do each season in the CL,it helps our "co-efficient" - whatever that means - so in practical terms, that means untill any rules change,we will continue to be allowed 4 teams in the CL,instead of 3.I'm sure that's the reason Yasir had in mind:) .

If not,then we'll have to send the boys round;) :D :D .

And,after reading the opening post here on this thread yesterday Utopia - i thought OK,i'll do my bit - ....no,i'll contribute more.Just recently,i'd been put off by certain things.....but your points were very true, and deserved an active response.Raanan is fine where he is,he shouldn't give up the role he's doing IMO,and neither should the others.I personally wish some of the posters of the past would show up more often, but i'm sure they have their reasons.Next season though, they will all return.I am certain we'll be playing in a more positive fashion - because it has always been Houllier's plan to develop things gently, and from the defence forward - and that is what we all want. So,when the summer transfers are integrated,IMO everyone here will be all singing from the same hymn sheet:) .

YES!! Exactly my idea.. the better ANY English team does.. the better the coefficient gets.. the better the EPL's reputation gets.. Better players would want to come to the EPL...... etc... It's actually a chain reaction..

There are a few Man U players who actually deserve loads of respect.. namely Giggs & Veron.. some others you have to respect for their talent like RVN, Beckham and Keane.. Others.. well there just in the team for us to hate like the Neville brothers, Silvestre, Scholes.... But I look at it this way..

-Barcelona.. I hate them already.. and I can't see them as Euro champs.. their squad is not organised and for them to win is more far fetched than Bayer winning!!

- Bayer Leverkusen.. the coefficient plays its part here!!

- Real Madrid.. I don't have a problem with them winning as their squad actually deserves the trophy without setting foot in the tournament.. and it has showed (although the draws have been kind to them).. Plus they have Stevie Mac :)

I have every respect for the lot ....

And being part of this wonderful forum, I will do my bit and contribute
