THE SATURDAY REVIEW

FC BARCELONA WON 2-0 AT ESTADIO ANOETA vs REAL SOCIEDAD
HENRIK LARSSON AND SAMUEL ETOO BOTH SCORED ONCE MORE

ARSENAL, SPURS & MANCHESTER UTD ALL WON ON SATURDAY
GERMANY: HSV BEAT WOLFSBURG AWAY 1-0, BREMEN 0-3 AT NÜRNBERG
JUVENTUS WON 3-1 AT LIVORNO, TREZEGUET (2) AND DEL PIERO SCORED


FC BARCELONA beat REAL SOCIEDAD 2-0 away at Estadio Anoeta. Barca striker Henrik Larsson (8.) scored the lead after only eight minutes when he had received a cross from the left by Barca left winger Ronaldinho. In the build-up of the 2-0 Dutch international midfielder Mark van Bommel had hit only the post but teammate and Barca striker Samuel Etoo (51.) did better when he scored from the rebound.
ATLETICO MADRID drew 1-1 against VILLAREAL at El Madrigal, Villareal. It was a game of the Spanish top strikers when both Villareal striker Diego Forlan (10.) and AM striker Fernando Torres (59.) scored within different halfs of the game.
LA CORUNA won 2-1 at Getafe. Both Depor goals were scored by the visitors wingers. La Coruna right winger Victor (30.) scored the 1-0, while La Coruna right winger Xisco (74.) scored the 2-0.

ARSENAL beat Charlton Athletic 3-0 at Highbury. Arsenal winger Robert Pires (13.) scored the opening goal early. Arsenal newly signing Emmanuel Adebayor (32.) extended the lead and Belarussian international midfielder Aliaksandar Hleb (49.) scored the third goal for Arsenal.
SPURS won 2-0 away at Birmingham. Spurs midfielder Aaron Lennon (65.) and Irish international striker Robbie Keane (78.) scored the two Spurs goals away.
MANCHESTER UNITED won 2-1 at West Bromwich Albion. ManU striker Louis Saha (16.,64.) scored both United goals away at The Hawthorne.

HAMBURGER SV won 1-0 away at Wolfsburg. HSV striker Benjamin Lauth (22.) scored the decisive goal away for his team.
BREMEN lost 1-3 at Nürnberg. Nürnberg striker Robert Vittek (22.,69.) scored two goals and delivered one assist for his striking partner Markus Schroth (36.). Bremen striker Miroslav Klose (57.) scored the only Bremen goal.
1.FC KÖLN lost 0-1 at Hannover. Hannover 96 striker Vahid Hashemian (39.) scored the only goal of the game minutes ahead of half-time. Relegation rivals 1.FC Kaiserslautern (1-2 at Dortmund) and Duisburg (2-5 at Frankfurt) also lost their games, while Frankfurt, Nürnberg and Mainz (2-1 at Leverkusen) won their games.

JUVENTUS beat Livorno 3-1 away. French international striker David Trezeguet (3.,54.) and Juventus midfielder Alessandro Del Piero (95.) scored the goals for Juventus. The Bianconeri have now a 24-5-1 record out of 30 league games within Italian Serie A.

OLYMPIQUE LYON beat Sochaux away 4-0. OL striker Sylvain Wiltord (26.,53.), OL midfielder Benoit Pedretti (45.) and OL winger
Florent Malouda (58.) scored the goals for Lyon away.
Meanwhile rivals BORDEAUX were held to a 1-1 draw at Troyes. 2004 European CL Finalist AS Monaco lost 0-1 at Ajaccio.

PSV beat NEC Nijmwegen 1-0 at Philips stadium, Eindhoven. PSV striker Jefferson Farfan (78.) scored the winning goal late.

Barca's second. Van Bommel hits the post. Eto'o scored a rebound. Did you guys see Vam B acutally put his hands on top of his head worrying that he didn't score even though his team mate score. Greedy.

If things go our way tonight, the league will be as good as dead. Bring on the galacticos.

I bet on a draw tonight at S.Bernabeu.
Betis aren't that bad (as against Steaua) and Real strikers aren't that good.

We'll see. Barca have again done their work already.

Things are looking good. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope the ref doesn't pull one of the usual favours in the last 5 minutes.
