In the first game of a three game road trip, Fenerbahce basically dominated Samsunspor 5-0. The game was not without controversy, as a disputed penalty ruined what was basically a difference in class between the two teams. This week Fenerbahce travels to Ankara to take on Ankaraspor.

It seems Nicolas Anelka may be coming back into previous form as he scored in the rout of Samsun. He had been on a drought since October or so, but it seems as though he is returning to form. It may be needed as the Canaries will need his goal scoring prowess in the second leg of the road trip.

It will be interesting to see who will be minding the nets. Rustu Recber did a good job manning the nets in the Samsunspor game. But head coach Christoph Daum may go back to the younger Volkan Demirel for this. Fenerbahce seems to have a problem in that they have two very good goalkeepers, but one of them will eventually have to find work elsewhere. Demirel is the keeper of the future, but Recber may not want to give up his job yet.

Records: Fenerbahce has a record of 16-4-0 (52 pts.) and are in first place, while Ankaraspor has a record of 3-10-7 (19 pts.) and are in 16th place.

Edit: For got to add this, but the game will be on Saturday.

I expect this match to be not too difficult for Fenerbahce. Quality-wise a world of difference between the two sides. However it's an away game so one can never be too sure.
I think Rustu might be in goal again but let's see how Daum decides on this.

Ankaraspor are the draw specialists and despite us winning all 3 of the matches played against them, it has only been by the single goal. I am expecting a similar level of difficulty in this game too despite their indifferent form this season...

75% of the teams in the league table are fighting to avoid relegation and because of that there will noit be a game without a fight imo....and that is how we want the games to be like.

My line up:

--------------Rüstü/Volkan------------

Serkan-----Önder--------Luci------Ümit

---Appiah--------Aurelio-------Tuncay-

-----------------Alex------------------

---------Nobre---------Anelka----------
