Sunday 14:30

Probably the ideal time to play Twente after their back to back defeats against Man City, 020 and then AZ. Not to forget their tame loss against Utrecht. They definitely don't seem in great form.

That said, it's been ages since we've taken anything away from Enschede but we are at times starting to show some good football.

News is that Biseswar and Bruins are out like Teak mentioned in the other thread and so are Fer, Theo and Tomasson, so to start it'll be:

Timmer

Tiendalli Bahia Hofland de Cler

El Ahmadi Van Bronckhorst
Wijnaldum Pedro Janota

Makaay

I don't know with who else Verbeek can start other than with Pedro unless he starts Mols and Makaay up front. Our bench really will have a young feeling to it.

Tiendalli btw will be facing his first real decent left winger in Elia so that should be a good test. I mean he can't do any worse than Theo last season.

Prediction: 4-2 (Huysegems x2 lol, N'Kufo and the racist :yuck: - Makaay & Van Bronckhorst)
I still think we'll lose.

I've hardly noticed him at Twente. That said I hardly watch Studio Sport nowadays.

Okay, here's my offensive plan for the second half. Janota or Pedro run with the ball into the box and go down under the challenge = penalty, 1-1. That seems to be Twente's extent of offense. I could see that one coming when Tiendalli and Elia were running shoulder-to-shoulder outside the box, I knew a penalty was coming.

I watched the last 25 minutes of the Ajax-PSV match - wow! Ajax took the PSV defense apart with three goals in the last 18 minutes, pretty impressive. Doesn't look like PSV will challenge for the title this year either. Ajax doesn't seem to be missing KJH just yet.

Credible performance from us in the 2nd half. Despite our now 15 injuries, we still went for it and that should be applauded.

Now time to hear how long Mols, Wijnaldum, Bahia and others will be out for.

Man, tough match. Mols's injury looked like his hamstring, could put him out for a week or two. Bahia and Wijnaldum were only limping slightly, hopefully the full week off will help. Timmer is going to have a very sore hand tomorrow, probably will cramp up some. It looked like he jammed his fingers and had to have the trainer reset them on the pitch. Ouch! Been there; done that; don't want no T-shirt.

Well, with P$V losing to the Laundry Detergent Club, Fey will gain one point on last year's champion.

Outstanding defensive effort; both penalties were "soft" and having seen Elia's given, I sensed that Feyenoord could get one also.

Teak is in Malaysia, has been for ~13 years. (The Malays talk about themselves in the third person, so I follow suit.)

A 2:30pm match in the Netherlands (GMT+1) plays at 9:30pm in Malaysia (GMT+8). It is those night-time matches that are killers: 8:30pm in the Netherlands means 3:30am! Not a problem after I retire, but I'm not retired yet!! Just tired.

Styg, how is Evander Sno doing as a replacement for KJH? He has the size; does he have the skill to be a striker?

Malaysia, truly Asia.

Yes, I watch CNN International.

3.30am, now that's a disgrace. We ought to consider moving Champions League matches to the afternoon so Asia can enjoy them too. They already buy all of the merchandise, we should meet them halfway :D

Malaysians pretty much follow the English Premier League as many have studied in the United Kingdom. For years it was mostly ManU fans with some die-hard Liverpool supporters. After Arsenal won their first title under Wenger, some of those ManU fans became Arsenal fans. Now there is a large block of Chelsea supporters.

There is a type of weed here, very tough, called 'lalang' which bends in the wind but snaps back quickly. 'Lalang supporters' they are called because they become 'fans' of whomever is leading at the time.

Needless to say, the local M League (attempt to copy the J League of Japan) is poorly supported. Why pay money to watch utter mediocrity when you can see every ManU, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea match on the telly? And I mean *every*. I am sick of those four clubs except for Liverpool. As long as Dirk Kuyt plays for Liverpool, I am a watcher. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Arsenal (van Persie) or Chelsea (Kalou).
