;)

We know that we did sign Sorin & Oddo. We know that Pobo & DLP are out of contract and out of the team. We know that number of players has to go down. 2 in, two out..so far;)

Now taking the lead from Mattias:), and following the first thread on this issue, I'm asking you:

What if we actually dont manage to sell anyone? :D

Lazio is hungry for cash. Player exchange is simply not an option if you want to reduce the squad. Mandietta going to Barca with Rivaldo coming to Lazio does not solve anything on the players wages issue, maybe just adding problems;) Simeone & Lopez transfer to Atletico is still on hold, nobody is ready to fork out the money for Crespo, and Nesta, although still dream of many teams, is still without anything that would look like semi-serious offer. Just pile of rumors comming from all sides. Some players are allowed to leave the team for free, but no movement on their transfer either.

Crag wants to sell, but he wont sell for peanuts. Considering that financial situation is in dire straits, and that his recent financial manouvers managed to cover up for the loses in previous year, he might decide to give it a go with the current team for another season. Or if not decide, he might be forced to do it.

So, current team (more or less - if some of the free players leave) + Oddo & Sorin.

We were saying last season that our midfield was simply ineffective, ie Crespo or whovere was up-front was not supplied with decent passes. Will arrival of one great left-back & one great right-back solve this problem? Secondly, we will still be with Fiore in the middle. Is his "adapting" period over and will he actually perform close to what he did towards the end of previous season? Will Mandietta's form finally pick-up after a year on the bench?

Too many questions;)

it seems that all the football world is going through a crisis and not only LAzio... there is simply no money in transfer market.. everybody is trying to cut it's roster so everything we saw untill now is mostly players swaps...

but I am sure that all this is just some dirty maneuver from Moggi &co to force Lazio to sell Nesta .. they are just blocking the transfers...

this season's mercato is a torture , as simple as that...

it's starting to get stincky you know !!
how come no one of the world class players Lazio offers there is no one to buy !
after Atleti refused to sign Simeone I think it's obvious now !! because frankly... Atletico needs him , their fans loves him , Crag wants to get rid of him and his salary , and the player himself is ready to sacrify himself to play for them again...
I don't see why his transfer didn't went through...

those are evident tricks from Moggi&Co to make Lazio sell Nesta first... they are convincing the other teams -god knows how) not to purchase Lazio players so that Crag will be forced to sell his Captain...
let's see now how a smart businessman Crag is..

I thinl the whole problem is that Cragnotti and the buyers don't agree. If we go after last years buys it seems like Cragnotti is right, but if we look at the situations (financial) in the teams what transfers we seen so far this campaign it seems like Cragnotti may have shot himself in the foot.

In the end he may be forced to sell players for very low prices as people just wait him out until he gets desperate. Adn that time may come soon with all the alleged "have not payed for players X yet, will sue" cases.

But Youness may be right, but not as you think. Some clubs (Milan Inter Juve) may have an formal deal of how they are nto going to bid and who gets who. You know the talk about Canna/Nesta/Thuram... or something like that.

this is well known , it's a common strategy in the transfer market this year... teams are agreeing not to make multiple bids for players , so that the prices would drop...
but this is not the problem , the problem is that it's almost impossible that no team in the world want to get one of the world class players LAzio had and are offering for incredibly low prices ! I gave you the example of Simeone... there is just no reason why he didn't end at Atleti... the same goes with Mendieta at Barcelona and so on...
the way Moggi talks about Nesta's imminent transfer means that he is sure about , it means that he have arranged something.. it's stinky...:groan:

Too many players are on to high wages its about time that Teams introduce salary caps and really begin to cut their wage bill or else each season crisis after crisis is goin to happen.
