Jure actually called it in another thread ;) and it could be that Markovic will be leaving and Boban, Stimac, Bilic etc may be getting involved in the running of the game.

Jer, mi to možemo, imamo sve uvjete, materijalno smo neovisni, mladi i izuzetno dobro poznajemo nogomet - kaže Štimac.
No, morat æemo se okupiti i ozbiljno poprièati. Pitate me za Zvonimira Bobana?
E, to nije istina.

I think it would be a geat idea for them to get involved in the running of the game. Boban has a brain on him and it would be good to see them still involved in Croatian football. At least we will know that they have the countries best interests in mind.

Its an interesting idea, and one that will help Croatian football. We need young energetic people for the top positions.

Zvone Boban is a great man, as well as a great leader and patriotic Croat. Heck, he's a hercegovac from Imotski (Zmijavci ;) ):D :)

;) i also second that Boban is the perfect man for the job! along with some of the other vatreni. and him being from Zmijavci is only a bonus considering JureM runs these boards and most things in Croatia including the HNS:D
I think this is a sign of panic. Leave the administration to people who know what they're doing. Just because a person was a player, even a great player, doesn't mean they can run a football association.
I regard it as a sign of change and a fresh outlook, Markovic is also a player, as were Srebric and most of the other delegates.

You basically need a good honest man with an education and playing experience, everyone cab learn the ropes of a football federation.
I think they're better off starting small, not jumping right into HNS. Besides, how educated are they all? I know Bilic has a law degree but what about the rest?
Thank you Croat Tommy.....you know the exact words to say....but young Ero....denying Boban's mother's side of the family....the Zmijavci side, where of course, Zvone was born and raised....how else do you think he became the soccer player that he was!:D
Yeah I agree with you IVO, some experience is essential and maybe it'll be a few years coming, though I can definitely see it happening.

Bilic has a law degree, Boban has a history degree is studying politics.

The rest probably dropped out of high school :)
Jure...I wasn't denying it.

after all, Biban is my hero :)
hhmm....I think that Boban should be involved for sure. The guy has brains and the football experience to be able to achieve something. I don't think Stimac has alot to offer apart from a big mouth just like Ciro who at least can coach. Bilic and Asanovic can also be involved on the football side of things which Asanovic has already made clear he would want. Even if they are introduced slowly, I think it is a step forward.

I don't trust the current HNS at all!!
Bilic i Boban

I was surprised a while back when I heard Bilic had a law degree and could speak 4 languages fluently. I guess the agressive play, unkept hair and earring threw me off. :D

And I know Boban is continually studying this and that....

They have the soccer know how too. MAybe it's too early for them now but you know they will always have the best interests of the NT at heart once they are involved. They won't be in it for the money as both are loaded. So there intentions should be good.

Also, all the players will respect them without question. After all, they helped pave the way for the next generation. Their contibution and playing credentials cannot be questioned.

Bobane-majstore!
Big deal....Bilic speaks 4 languages fluently...like that's an accomplishment or something....my father speaks a few languages fluently himself...Croatian....Cro-English....and Broken English....beat that...;)

Oh and Ero...we all know that Biban is your hero...:D
Oluja...

Actually, Bilic supposedly speaks 7 (NOT 4) languages fluently (among them Croatian, English, German, Italian,...)

Here's my suggestion for the new HNS order:

President: Boban

General Secretary: Bilic

Director of NT: Asanovic

Spokesperson: Suker

Coach: Kranjcar / Ivic (advisor)

P.S.

Director of Security: Stimac :D

Is it just mere 'coincidence' that 2 days after my 'prediction' that word of the vatreni coup hits the press?!? Muuuuuaahhhahaaaaa;) :D

that's incredible !!
I don't like it. Seems like we're going for the nostalgia of 98 and putting it into the boardroom.

Most of these players should still be wearing track suits and teaching the younger ones on the pitch rather than wearing armani suits and directing funds and making political decisions.

Too much too soon. Too radical a change. They need to get their feet wet and learn. I bet I know more about History and politics than Boban does but that sure as hell doesn't warrant me getting the post. Nor does the fact he was a great player. He needs to learn the knicks and knacks of administration and people skills and keeping books balanced.

We need a long term plan with all parties involved in Croatian football to set up a system that produces the best players in the world.

This is what Jure said also and this is what should be in the press.

The US does it with Pro-40 and it seems that it is beginning to work and will continue to do so. No reason why Croatia can't have a system that is conducive to the advancement of our game.

ps. It is true that the Hajduk and Dinamo youth academies are great and other ones as well but a system where the best players can learn at a national level together is essential. More practices for the youth teams..........and this may insult some to the point of anger but too bad. There has to be a restriction of when our young players can leave. I strongly believe this is the way to go. If you disagree please leave the insults and "you're wrong because you don't agree with me" attitude that I get so often at school.

We can be a constant middle footballing power we just have to have the will.
